I am still lifting at the moment bro but not anything heavy or anything that engages my shoulder a lot.
Oh thats right, i think you were tellin me about a few of these exercises a few weeks ago. Ill give them a shot, thanks.
Just spent an hour with the personal trainer. Feeling good, my friends. Feeling good. My goal is to get in 5 workouts this week. 2 down, only THREE to go!!!
Last night... Bench press: 8x8 Barbell curls: 5x15 Bent over rows: 5x15 Standing shoulder press: 5x15 Squats: 8x5 Crunches: 150
I have a spin class in an hour and I really, really want to take the day off. Sigh. I had a goal of doing 5 workouts this week though. Ahhh, does anyone ever have those days where they just don't want to go to the gym?
@ Rollin, are you doing lat raies and front raises for shoulders? Might want to just do over head presses, perhaps. I had some significant pain and I only do ohp now and all is well again. Though, to each their own. @Ashalicious Yeah man, some days just don't even want to go, but get it done anyway and stay on the grind. Also, take a week off every so often....that HELPS.
Actually, not for me. Some days it takes more effort to actually start the workout, but I almost never don't want to work out, and it tends to drive me nuts if I miss a day. I actually look forward to working out. It's one of the few things my life revolves around in fact.
Well, I did walk for an hour and 15 minutes today, does that count? I didn't end up going to my spin class though. I chose to stay home and get some work done, which it is always nice when some money comes in I'll spin tomorrow, personal trainer on friday, and then find something to do on Saturday to get my 5th workout in and complete my goal for the week!!!
Did my HIIT this evening on the stationary bike. Did only 8 thirty-five second intervals, but they were super intense. I followed it up with 100 pushups.
I can't do the stationary bike. It's either too loose and I feel nothing or it's too tight and my legs burn out. I cannot find an in between and I spent a lot on the thing. It's a new bike, but old school clamps on the front wheel adjusted by a knob. But it shakes so terribly when there's any friction and the noise really does my head in. It has not electrical equipment or anything. It's like a stock car compared to a euro Motorsport event. It's bare and basic, tells you nothing. No flashy LED lights or electrics. :d
Sounds a lot like the bike I have, which is a Tunturi, which appears to be from the 80s or early 90s. It actually does have a computer with it, but it's archaic and very limited in its features. The thing looks ancient compared to modern exercise bikes, but it gets the job done while leaving my ass sore as hell. I am just surprised it has been able to withstand the abuse it gets being as old as it is.
nah i wasnt doing any lat raises. Im trying to remember what i was doing when the pain first started. It might have been from doing heavy shoulder presses. but i dotn really remember. I did some overhead presses alst week and felt some pain after. i might have to take a few more weeks off if the exercises derganged told me about dont help it =/
Of course it counts. Any exercise counts. Walking outdoors at a brisk pace is one of my favorite ways of getting my cardio in. Plus it's a good way to get vitamin D from the sun, granted it's a nice day and the sun is out.
45 minute spin class followed by a 2 hour walk. I think I need to try and tone down on my pot smoking. My lungs were burning in spin today!!!
well yeah, but then i work there so of course i want some occasional days off. yeah, it's easy to stick to a routine as long as you actually stick to it, but as soon as you get knocked off routine it's a bitch to get back into it.
