Took two hits about 12 hours ago and I'm still feeling the after effects. Visuals are all done but I still feel super nice.

I tried to sleep. Can't do that. lol

Sounds fun! That's about right, sleeping on it is impossible.. You're just thinking too hard... You'll probably pass out sometime soon though. What did you do on it? Did you learn much?

Oh yes yes yes. I loved it.

I was expecting something more along the lines of shrooms. It's weird. It's the same...but different...ya know? It feels more synthetic.

I'll try and list an overview of my night..

Iridescent is the best color. That is a fact.

Chocolate sucks. It's too much and tripping its just weird. It feels like it's melting....it looks like it's melting...you bite it and it's not melting...then it starts to melt. WTF.

    Citrus is the best. Flavors>colors
They were interchangeable and made everything feel brighter.

Not to mention everything had a glow. More or less a sheet of insanity over everything. But wonderful insanity.

Then Bill Cosby's face started melting.

Then there's the stars. Wonderful. Beautiful. Spectacular. I saw patterns in the constellations that I had never noticed before. They would start moving, breathing, spinning.

At this point I realized that this wasn't so much the learning as it was the realizing and simply allowing myself to experience it and appreciate it more than ever because I can now see.

Realized that my favorite and most wonderful state to be in is just naked.

My bf and I shared a wonderful and beautiful experience together....in which I was wearing more clothes then than I was an hour after that in which I just had to be naked. Not sexual or pursuing anything...just being this person I've had to live with for 21 years now and never really let go and allowed myself to experience...myself.

When morning rolled around I was just able to breath and take in the crisp morning air of November without focusing on how cold I am. I didn't even wear a coat when I went with the bf to get food.

Then I realized how wonderful Mr. Bean is. His face was still fucking me up but it more enhanced my realization of how much we are all like Mr. Bean.

And now I'm watching Rocky Horror Picture Show and still trying to find my grips. When I think it's done I get up to do something and realize my senses are still hyper active and I'm still getting a slight glow.

That sounds amazing, I have had a similar experience in regards to the stars forming unseen, new constellations and dancing around. That's very astute of you to simply allow yourself to experience the psychedelic mindstate and appreciate it.

    This all made me laugh.

Really though, I wish that I could have a video of what I was seeing while watching Bill Cosby's Himself video. Jesus. haha. I think his persona and entire being was created just so I could live 21 years with his show and then experience that. It was too much for words. that's why I left it at that. Didn't really know what else to say. hah.

    Word.

Porkstock would agree with you there. :) Ya, citrus is pretty good during/after.

Amazing contemplating the stars and our little rock in the cosmos while in a groovy trip, isn't it?

This statement is what compelled me to comment. You may or may not know how profound that is, but that is the best description of a good first psychedelic experience I've read here in awhile. :2thumbsup:

Is it very common to become depressed after a trip. because I've felt down sense then and it's just getting worse and worse.

It's not unheard of, sometimes the days after a LSD trip feel kind of bland and I am nostalgic about the trip and feel somewhat isolated. Sometimes I get an afterglow where things feel more interesting the days after. LSD effects neurotransmitters responsbile for mood, so it follows that it may take some time for them to return to normal.

Ill say, the days after an LSD trip can suck!OP: look into lucid dreaming, if your feeling like the only thing will make you feel better is another trip, lucid dreaming is probably for you. It has helped me keep sober in between trips while having fun! You also learn a lot

I seriously feel like crying about everything. I'm in the worst mood ever. I'm just not the type of person that gets depressed. I know how to keep myself out of it and even am annoyed by people who are depressed.

Inspirational quotes and talks are pissing me off. I'm not open to new ideas and learning. I feel distant from my bf and it's scaring me. I miss my family.

None of this is like me at all. I'm trying to do the things that normally help but nothing is. It sucks. I want to know how long this will last so I can just hole myself away until it's over.

I tripped in Baja last Sunday and played with the I pad app of space for the first time. It shows you the constellations you are looking at and the names of the brightest stars in the sky. It was truly an awesome way to trip and look at the stars....if you ever get a chance you must try it!

It's completely normal, especially with something as long and heavy duty as LSD. The symptoms you are describing are classic low dopamine and low serotonin complaints; everything sucks, nothing brings you pleasure, everything is bleak and dreary, emotions are low and negative, tears and despair come freely . . . it will pass, don't worry, it's just a chemical rebound that your brain must pay for the LSD experience. Eat well, sleep well, and exercise :) that will help you a lot. try not to get too bogged down in your worldview right now. Don't further support the melancholy by doing nothing but contemplating it :p

    ^^^ Again, wisdom from Writer.
I've never felt depressed after, usually the opposite but physically and mentally tired. Something you may find might help is 5-htp. The science is unsettled but it is supposed to help with rebalancing serotonin.
Don't feel bad if you feel like you need your space. As mentioned, some physical activity, maybe taking a hike, might help. The neurochemical benefits of exercise are well known.
It's kind of hard to know if its chemical or emotional or, more likely, a combination. I suspect its the latter and mostly a side-effect of trying to reintegrate. Having the veil pulled back like that is jarring to the psyche and easier or harder for people. I'd say be gentle with yourself, try to minimize expectations of yourself (telling yourself how you're supposed to feel) and perhaps give your energy to consideration of what you experienced rather than the here and now.

Serotonin is a weird chemical that plays with your emotions, I'm learning about it in psychology right now. At low levels this depression is normal, LSD uses serotonin wildly because of your neurons (the "mailman" of your sensory inputs) fire off wildy using lots of serotonin... Unfortunately it may take about a week to feel fully recovered, but the first 2-3days are the worst. So it will only get better.

I found myself feel distanced from people after I did LSD, and I'm not sure if it was because they were afraid, or if I was over dramatizing it because of that depression, so I wouldn't be too concerned about your bf until your really back to yourself. Just have fun, I found stumbleupon fun when I don't feel like doing anything... Hope that helps
