Hi, this is my first post in here allthough i've been reading
the forum in deep silence for quite a long time.
I would like to show you 3 of my paintings i did last week.
It isn't really meant as one big piece but just the 3 of
them seperatly, but they al have that same kind of story/mood
i guess. Please tell me what you think.

wow i really like them :) they have a really strange mix of styles that work well together, one has a sligh comicness to it while they all carry the cubist touch. I like em :) how did you get the stripey effect across the paintings?

[IMG] Thanks Fleassy, actually the stripey effect across the painting is caused by the fact that it is painted on carton. So i didn't do it on purpose.
I choose for carton because it's cheap and it won't become rumpled.
The fact that i can get a new piece of carton on every corner on the street makes me kinda relaxed. With a canvas i get al nervous and it all goes
wrong, or at least i think it does. Hmm ... kinda weird isn 't it ? [IMG]

yea using mediums that you can get all over the place really does relax you more. when i do my art on paper in so free with it, as soon as i turn to canvas i freak out.

The center one is striking. I hope it's not someone you know?
I imagine myself looking a little like that when I was about fourteen. Heh.
    Adolesence sucks.

    Jeff!!!

These are terrific, have you thought about selling your stuff???
If you want to... PM me and maybe I can give you a couple ideas.

I think the cardboard is absolutely perfect, it adds a whole other dimension.

I use drywall scrap until i get it right, then transfer to canvas...but I think yours are as they should be.

wow ... thanks teepi. I wasn't really sure weither i should post this
or not. I'm glad i did it, because it gives me a little more confindence
    in my "art". [IMG]
I also think that cardboard does match the feeling of the art too.
The brownish color of the cardboard allready sets a mood i think.

Btw. Can you explain me what draywall scrap is ? i really haven't got a clue. [IMG]

Its what they hang for walls when they build your house. Screw it to the studs. when you paint your room you're painting on the drywall, also called gypsum board, it is a plaster like product made from gypsum covered in heavy paper.

We built (still building) our house ourselves so we have tons of it laying around and my DH cuts it into the sizes I want then I prime it with waterbased latex flat paint then use it as I would canvas. When I'm done, he screws a piece of wood to the back and applies a sawtooth hanger and we keep it for our walls, If it turns out really well I do it again on real canvas and sell it(hopefully).
