So im going to NYC this weekend to buy some Salvia, im going to ST. marks if anyone is familiar with that area, i plan on buying a gram of 40x from a headshop ive been too before.

i know to hold it in 30 seconds, but if im using a bong, do i pull out the slide and let oxygen in? and also, will a regular bic lighter do, or should i use a mini torch?

and is 40x too strong for the first time?

keep the flame on the salvia the whole time
    take a massive rip
you can take in oxygen if you want, but not too much. you should have so much smoke in your lungs you can barely take in any O2 anyway.

just hit it like you would hit any bong, but just remember you are torching the salvia, not just lighting it like some bud.

i draw it, hold, exhale, pull out slide, and clear.

the strength primarily denotes how much/little plant material must be burned to get the drug.

40X isnt going to be a stronger trip than twice as much 20X is.

remember though that at 40X, a VERY small amount is needed. you should get 15-23 good 'hits" from a gram.
