Hi all, before I ask your opinion let me say that I've scanned the faqs and key threads already. My question is somewhat answered in there but I'd like to ask it anyways. Little bit of background before I bring up my question -- I've had dreads for about 6 months and they were initially backcombed. Now here comes the Q -- dadadadadadadada drum roll.... How can I improve my roots!? The main concern I have is my antenna dreads' roots are very flat at the root. It looks like theres a thin flat plane of hair at the root and along the tip its just loopy loose hair hanging down the root. Not very appealing to the eyes if you can imagine. Anyways, i'm just a little worried that time wont solve this. I'm in search of a solution/reassurance :]
comb/cut really though, time is the answer, it always is. your dreads are gonna look shit in month six. sorry pal
almost all of my roots are flat.. that's what is supposed to happen. So just wait! Your hair will look like shiat for a long time any ways.
This. TAKE THAT??!! *Shivers* urh. Some of your roots/dreads will be flat. Live with it. I really don't get why it is 'not pleasing to the eye'... Dreads are dreads. Untidy knotted strands of knotted hair. They will be flat or thin or thick or lumpy or loopy but WHO CARES. If you don't love them "the way they are" then don't have em.
Haha. This made me lol 'cause I had a FB friend who went and got her hair all crocheted this summer by an expensive loctician and then combed them out two months later because maintaining them was too much work. She's now sporting a mullet.
I think she is talking about the front dread has a hint of a greyish light color to it, that just what i noticed.. could be wrong..
