Firefox

I use firefox and I must say, I think it kicks ass compared to IE.

My favorite things about firefox is the "open new tab" function, like Obvious mentioned, and also , the automatic "pop-up" blocker. I used to get so many pop-up ads on this site and others, that my computer would crash. I very, VERY rarely get any pop-ups with firefox. When I actually do get one, it's more of a "hey, what's this?!?" instead of the old, "Jeez, not another one!" like I had with IE.

I'd recommend it to anyone, even considering its minor bugs, but the benefits far outweigh those of IE.

 

Its pretty cool.

The only thing I miss is the google toolbar which let you click on the search words to see where it found them on the page. Is there some add in so I can get this feature?

 

firefox... makes me wet. It's such a good browser. *love*

 

You could always look at Googles cached pages, that highlights the words automatically. Or use Firefox's find function (Ctrl-F)

 

yeah i love the new tab and new window feature.....i usually have multiple open at one time....haha...i have two windows and 10 tabs open right now

 

Great for picture viewing or forum browsing, just middle click anything that interests you...

 

Yeah, and there are so many things you can add to the google bar. I even have a damn english <> finnish dictionary up there.
And tabs rock, and the find feature. Firefox rocks.

 

Haha that is the best feature, I just middle click on everything until I have like 50 tabs. Perfect for the forums like you said.

 

there's a extension for added tab options, you can make it so any link you regular click is opened in a tab

 

yep, firefox kicks ass. I guess I've been using it for like 6 months or more. I HATE IE, but sometimes I can't click certain links on firefox, so I'm forced to use IE occasionally. It still has minor thingssss wrong with it, but it rocks. The tabs thingy is one of my fav features, too! oh, but I can't play yahoo games (i'm addicted to checkers) In Firefox.. it closes the games are random times w/ no warning. Well I haven't tried for a while, maybe they fixed it.

 

I have google search in my firefox toolbar, on the right side of the browser. i dunno, it came with the browser 1.0 for my mac.

There is now another update.The current one is 1.04. If you have an earlier version, it is recommended that you update.

 

I dunno, I like the various plugs. Down them all comes in quite handy in cojunction with various validation stuffk. Magpie is pretty cool.....

but is it just me or is it sucky for videos? you change the volume on your player plugin and you lose the video.
