Fired For Wearing Fake Penis To Work

SCRANTON, Pa. -- A northeastern Pennsylvania woman claims she was fired from her job for wearing a prosthetic penis to work while contemplating gender reassignment.

Pauline Davis filed a federal civil rights lawsuit Wednesday against J&J Snack Foods Corp. over her termination from the company's plant in Moosic, near Scranton.

Davis says she wore the prosthetic to work as a line inspector, informing some co-workers who passed in the information along to management. According to the suit Davis was fired even though the device didn't interfere with her work.

Davis' suit claims a male employee undergoing hormone treatments and female clothing was treated more favorably.

The suit was first reported by the Philadelphia Daily News. A phone message left by The Associated Press at New Jersey-based J&J was not immediately returned Friday.

Regardless - I don't want to know about my coworkers fake penises or boobs or lips or whatever when I'm at work. I don't want to know if they are on their period, going through menopause, having ED symptoms or contemplating having vaginal rejuvenation surgery. If she wants to walk around with a semi-chub "heavily concealed" in her pants all day I couldn't care less. But I shouldnt have to know about it in the workplace.

 

there are no employment laws protecting transgenders in Pennsylvania .. there is no federal protection against sexual orientation discrimination in the workplace either, unless you work for the federal gov..

I really don't care about this woman's problem because she brought it on herself when she went to work and blabbed to everyone about her plastic penis.

It is a ridiculous reason to fire someone, but people get fired for alot less.

 

She should of kept this to her self . The co workers may of misunderstood what she was doing. They may of thought she wanted to engage in a weird sex act or some thing . I could see if she was smacking people in the face with it or something , but fired for telling people about it ? There must be more to this story than meets the eye , or other parts . In any event she should have kept it to herself . I wouldn't want to know it .

(note to self ) Keep mouth shut when wearing fake genitalia it is a private matter , literally . They may have to add a new rule to the employee rule handbook now , or at least get a hairnet on it .

Why did she tell anyone?

 

She may not have done anything to affect her work, but my guess is it Probably would disrupt other people's work if she went around tellin everyone about the fake dick on her vagina. Like someone else said, people everyday are fired for a lot less.
