i'm so excited! the girdwood forest fair is in three days (actually, four, but i'm spending all of one hitchhiking there and setting stuff up). i went last year and it was AMAZING. bands playing all day until midnight, and then drum circles and this magical enchanted path in the woods leading to the river, where there are 30+ tents and wonderful people frolicking around. there are hula hoop contests, the trees have signs on them (like in alice in wonderland), the up-close view of the mountains is breathtaking, there's a skatepark, and the town is right nearby if you want to use a phone or something. i've been looking forward to it since last year. i only saw one cop the entire time, driving by in a car. but they don't bother anyone. i get free spinach bread, since my mom's friend is selling it, but i'm bringing my own food because there are certain things i'd rather spend my money on. hurraaaayyyyy!!!!
man that sounds like a blast!!... i fuckin love festivals! ive been spending the last 2 days just chilling around at the Montreal Jazz Fest and the sunday Tamtams (which are just fuckin awesome, yesterday, other then like 20 ppl playing their tamtams, there was a guy on sax and a guy on a weird fuckin flute all fucked up, it was the best tamtam sunday ever... and ive never seen that much hippies (old ones) in my entire life lol)
