I just wanted to know if fentanyl was detectable in standard pre-employment drug tests? I Just ate a patch an hour ago and just got the call from the geek squad (lol) to go get drug tested cuz i got the job. They want me to go tommaro. I heard it doesn't metabolize into morphine so im thinkin im ok but i just wanted to be sure. Also i take bupenorphine but i have a reason to take that ( a script) so that should be ok too. Thanks
If there's any problem show them the script and blame it on that man... fentanyl is weird though for some reason I wanna say it isn't detected by standard test but it's an opioid... IDK man polymer might know. Erowid might have some info.
fentanyl is an opioid in that it binds to opioid receptors however, it's a phenyl- propanamide derivative, with a piperidine group translation: it's structure is nothing like morphinans, which morphine, heroin, hydrocodone and oxycodone are. fentanyl isn't exactly an opiate, as it's not a morphine derivative what this means is, it won't show up on the standard piss test (TLC), NMR, and it may only show up in MS/GC if it's assayed (it's in the database...meaning they're specifically looking for fentanyl abuse)...in other words, fentanyl is not among the NIDA-5 drugs tested for. fentanyl has a rather short half-life too, but that's besides the point... drug tests are based on the structures of the metabolites present, and fentanyl metabolites are much different than opiate metabolites.
Thanks for the info, I didn't know that about fent. I really appreciate the help. I'm going today for the test, ill let you know what happens. In no means if it comes up positive am I gunna be like wtf but it just alleviates some of the worries ive had while using this drug as I already know of its dangers. Again thanks guys
