I ask because I was reading up about Anhedonia and it said this Personally I hate the mornings and feel much better at night, that said I don't feel sad in the morning just tired and lazy and achy.
I almost ALWAYS feel better in the evenings.. I am not a morning person especially really early in the morning.. I dislike wakng up early and the earlier i wake up the more drowsy i feel throughout the day... sometimes if i can take my time with a nice wake n bake, coffee and a small breakfast that helps from being so sleepy throughout the day. I am definatly a night person.. I have never had a regular sleeping schedule and i have always been up throughout the night.. and even used to beable to go out through my day on 2-5 hours of sleep and be just fine.. and sometimes even now.. it depends really but after going too long withoout sleep it catches up to me and i just crash.
Yesterday I woke up at 11-12 in the afternoon and went to sleep today at 6am to wake up around 1.... I like the night.
It all depends on the day as a whole... I wake up around 6-7am, even on my days off (I'm a 60 year old in a 30 year old body) and I am pretty full of energy straight away, despite my horribly unhealthy lifestyle in recent years. I feel fine in the evenings too, but by then I've usually smoked so much pot I am just really sleepy and will doze off, sometimes REALLY early.
Funny that's your reason. I've been pretty depressed lately, and anhedonia has been a common symptom. I would say it mostly depends on my work schedule. If I work late, I feel better early; if I work early, I feel better late; if I work a mid-shift, I hate my life completely. And if I am off; I am in my natural state of being a night owl.
I've always been a night person until recently. My entire life I've always naturally stayed up late and woke up late; mornings used to be HELL for me. I wouldn't speak a word to others until noon at least. People could piss off in the mornings. My mom has a picture of me when I was 3 or 4 on Christmas morning, surrounded by presents but looking pissed off as hell because it was the morning. I don't know what changed but lately I have a lot more energy in the morning. Sometimes in the morning I wake my boyfriend up by jumping up and down on the bed and singing. A couple of years ago I would have slapped the shit out of someone for doing that to me. I dont know why he hasn't slapped me yet.
Definitely a morning guy... wake up at 4 or 4:30, ready to change the world. I try to get a lot done by the time I start work at 8. Usually asleep by 10 pm... does that make me weird or 'depressed '?
time of day doesn't particularly apply. i feel best after i've slept AND eaten, and i'm NOT having to listen to some neighbor's damd television or radio. there's really no particular time of day this is more or less likely then another.
