Yes, there's another thread for this but it's lame. Choose the band that's your fav or close to, you should have much prob. You can choose more than one.
moody blues and tangarene dream were my favorites ever. others from that era high on my list (higher on it then most of those listed) were jefferson airplane and jethro tull. i also liked vanilla fudge and zager and evans. also for some reason both of iron butterfly's alblums; HEAVY and inagadadavida (which as everybody by now knows was a mumbling of in a garden of eden but the transliteration of the mumble looked more origeonal and they liked it so it stuck) slightly earlier then those were the moma's and the poppas, and before them, peter, paul and mary. then there were a zillion others below them but still very much on my list (and still to me, ahead of some of those named) and a lot of those everyone else thought were great, mostly i thought were ok but didn't really hit the mark of what interested me. which is where i would classify most of that list, or most of any such list anyone would be likely to come up with. =^^= .../\...
There is another thread with the same question. Shit, you guys should have worked together when formulating the question, hehe. At least you list a few more of my favorite groups.
zeppelin is also pretty groovy. pink floyd, the who, bob dylan and the beatles are all sweet as well.
the beatles, led zeppelin, jimi hendrix, bob dylan the who and others... where is velvet underground??
if you want all-time favorite, I'd have to say AC/DC current favorite would be Santana Your choices are far too limiting, I doubt the people here are much into top 40s, even from the past. The bands you listed were my father's favorites! LOL
I chose Hendrix, The Beatles, and Dylan...no John Lennon was mentioned, and neither was Skynyrd. "Free Bird" is a classic...
I have alot of favorites, but my main favorite was and still is, early Grand Funk from '69 to '73 when they were a heavy garage band. Before they got into the pop shit like Locomotion and Some Kind of Wonderful
i like this picture ! superbe... at less if the gun never shoot... Just before i wrote a long post about the grand funk and as it happen sometimes... i click the wrong button... it burn my nerves... i m not patient enough to rewrite it... simply i m a fan too of the grand funk before their stupid 82 pro reagan comeback... but in the 80s a lot of people fell in the Reagan trap ...even Mr Clint Eastwood... Uhmmm for the best band everrrr i choose... i hesitate between Status Quo :& or Spinal Tap whick do u prefer !
