My all time favorite Vampire movie is "Interview With the Vampire." I also like John Carpenter's Vampire's, Dracula 2000, Fright night - I and II, and I liked Van Helsing. Do you like Vampire movies? Which ones?
boog, Near Dark was fantastic with Lance Henriksen as the lead vampire also, Fright Night was also a pleasant surprise with Amanda Bearse (Married with Children) playing the role of Amy .....she was Hot in her younger days..... h
I love the idea of vampires and all but I don't think there's a movie with vampires that I actually really enjoyed. A few are okay but nothing special....
The only vampire movies I actually like are the ones that utilize the way-back, original premise of vampires being a demonic, curse-related phenomenon. Can't stand sunlight, garlic, or a stake through the heart. Only way to kill 'em is stake through the heart, sunlight, or decapitation. Can't go on holy ground, can't stand a crucifix, can't enter unless invited in. They never do establish what happens to a vampire that for some reason can't get any blood... My favorite vampire movies are Salem's Lot (the old one is great, and the remake of it was quite good too!); Innocent Blood; I think I saw this Near Dark one... is that in the desert and they tear up a bar full of toughguys? I liked the action of blade, and sort of liked Underworld, but the idea that vampirism is caused by a VIRUS is just fuckin' STOOPID! Yeah, a virus that makes your teeth able to expand and retract; makes you able to regenerate lost limbs and heal in a jiffy... Vampires are supposed to be vampires because of a CURSE, and they are able to fly, turn into bats, mist, sometimes even wolves... None of this "viral pathogen" shit. -Jeffrey
I liked the old Salem's Lot cuz it followed the book closer than the new one, but I liked the FX on the new one. Interview with a vampire I know I'll get crap for this .. I liked Queen of the Damned Fright Night
txbarefooter, The Original Salem's Lot was great and had everything going for it. First off it had David Soul who was still big at the time with Starsky & Hutch and had a number 1 hit song on the charts, and It had James Mason a perennial great actor, as well as Lance Kerwin fresh off of his new series James at 15. Couple that with Director Tobe Hooper of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre fame and you've got a hit h
the German Expressionist period movie "Nosferatu" is one of the greatest in my opinion. among more recent stuffs, Coppola's Dracula is nice.
Duck, I beg to differ but we each have our opinion. I hope you're still not upset over the loss of the Steelers at the hands my New England Patriots - The PATS are after all the 21st century version of a dynasty h
I love Van Helsing and Near Dark. They give two completely different versions of vampires. Interview with a vampire was pretty compelling to watch.
Interview with a Vampire Van Helsing (because of its intentional cheesiness) Dracula 2000 and, yes... Queen of the Damned. Not the best movie ever, but I still enjoyed it
i cant remember the name of it, but i saw this chinese vampire movie a lil while ago it was weird, cuz the vampires were more like ghosts, and instead of sucking your blood, they sucked your soul. It was a very wierd interpretation of a vampire.
