Comfortably Numb- Pink Floyd (Although I'm iffy on whether or not that's actually what the song is about) Under the Bridge-Chili Peps. One of the hardest songs I've learned to play on the guitar, if not the hardest. Alice in Chains is easily one of my favorite bands, I love all their Smack and Phine songs.
eggokiller, comfortably numb doesn't describe opiates, and it's pretty well known that it was written about tranquilizers, most likely ketamine if I recall right. Sublime-pool shark is a good song. Bad Religion-billy is also a good song.
I honestly don't have any songs with opioid-related lyrics but here is what I like to listen to on opioids: 1. Mid-era Genesis (1975-1980)- before the pop and after the hard-core progressive era. 2. Post-bop acoustic jazz (1960-1970)- things like Bill Evans Trio or the Miles Davis Second Quintet. 3. The Moody Blues early albums (1967-1970) 4. Mid-era Beatles (Rubber Soul through Sgt. Pepper's) 5. Stereolab all eras
Not heroin. But it's one of my favorite songs about opiate use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGOpf9FfqTM"]Mad child - My Life - YouTube
