Comedy is definitely not at all easy. Which is why I have to give mad respect to to all of them because of their will and dedication. Some are funny, others not so much, but a few are just so damn funny. And you know, who doesn't enjoy a good laugh? So... who are some of your favorite comedians..?

Well without a doubt, my favorite is Norm MacDonald. Comedic genius, no questions, everything that comes out of that guy's mouth is just pure, unadulterated hilarity. Benny Hill, Dana Carvey are a few others to name..

Here's a quick sample of Norm, if you are not at all familiar with him..

I had completely forgotten about him, which is surprising since I love his routines regarding religion.

    NEVER FORGET THE OLD FUCK!

when i cant find something (which is rare, and deeply disturbing to me) i have to stop and watch his bit on losing things. usually, within an hour, ive found it. its kind of hysterical because in the bit he talks about how people expect st anthony to bring your stuff back to where its supposed to be. and i bet hes 'down there' now, screaming up at me.

hes like an uncle to me. i grew up watching him. i saw him live twice, and the second time i just felt his time shortening. he lost his breath, said "fuck you people and your atmosphere" and it just washed over me. i miss him.

I'll do a top 10 since that's what I do with the music threads... This will roughly be in order of my most fav but a few on the latter half are interchangable. I'm ranking these strictly by standup performances.

    1) Bill Hicks

Steve Martin & David Cross are my favorites. I do some stand up myself and I've been working on material. I've been watching all of the comedy specials on netflix for motivation (or something along those lines)...fun stuff.

Comedy is just all pressure. I mean , if you can handle being in a room full of strangers, then it's nothing more than telling jokes. But getting up on that stage, is definitely the toughest part. If you got that, just deliver!
