If you mean bands that are currently palying, then Ayreon, Cultura profetica and The Mars Volta. If you mean in general, add Gong, Hendrix and Bob Marley.
As far as bands are concerned, lesser known and underground metal. Naildown, Bloodsimple, Dry Kill Logic, Daath, Necrophagist, Naglfar, Illdisposed, Children of Bodom, Darkane, The Berzerker, Vader, Stormtroopers of Death, Estuary, Morbid Angel, etc. etc.
Ah, another member or fan of Gong family? But they´re still playng, aren´t they? samfoster, Barrowes makes nice music. Presently, maybe my most favourite band is Babylon Circus (French ska/rock/reggae) not only beacuse they have got absolutely great shows, but also love their music, lyrics, opinions. Thought, they are nice people.
