I cannot do a top ten because it depends where you are at the time. But I've seen some great selections. I love the Fugs too.

    CLASSIC 1960's (mostly)/1970's PSYCHEDELIC ROCK---

    MOST PSYCHEDELIC ALBUM:
THE ROLLING STONES-Their Satanic Majesties Request
(Bad album title, though. It sounds like a title from the later HEAVY
METAL era, with many santanic references. No real santanic songs,
just "acid rock". With the given album picture, I would have named
this album: 2000 light years from home. As a second choice: In
another land. The original album cover (on the original record LP) had
a 3D-type of cover, when you tilt it a different angle, the faces of
The Rolling Stones would change into the Beatles! If you listen
closely to the beginning of the song" "sing this all together (see what
happens)", you'll hear a girl say: "FLOWER POWER!", and then Mick
Jagger says: "Where's that joint?" I also hear coughing.)

THE BEATLES - Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band,
Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine Soundtrack.
THE GREAT SOCIETY (w/GRACE SLICK)-Conspicuous Only In Its
    Absence, How It Was.
JEFFERSON AIRPLANE-Surrealistic Pillow, Crown of Creation,
After Bathing At Baxters, The Worst Of Jefferson Airplane.
MOODY BLUES-In Search Of The Lost Chord, Days Of Future Passed,
    Every Good Boy Deserves Favor.
KING CRIMSON-In The Court Of The Crimson King.
JIMI HENDRIX-The Ultimate Experience (CD compilation).
CREAM-THe Very Best of Cream (CD).
DONOVAN-Donovan's Greatest Hits, Donovan Super Hits (CD).
PINK FLOYD-Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.
TOMMY JAMES & THE SHONDELLS-Crimson & Clover, Cellophane Symphony.
STRAWBERRY ALARM CLOCK-Strawberries Mean Love (CD).
ULTIMATE SPINACH-Ultimate Spinach, Behold & See.
YARDBIRDS-Roger The Engineer, Yardbirds Greatest Hits,
    Volume One: 1964-1966 (CD).
THE ANIMALS-The Best of Eric Burden and the Animals 1966-1968,
The Best Of The Animals (CD).
    BLIND FAITH-Blind Faith.
THE STATUS QUO-Picturesque Matchstickable Messages From
The Status Quo (Pictures Of Matchstick Men) (CD).
THE GRATEFUL DEAD-Anthem Of The Sun.
SWEETWATER-Cycles. (1st band to play at WOODSTOCK 1969.) (CD).
    CLEARLIGHT-Clearlight.
    STONE CIRCUS-Stone Circus.
QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE-Sons Of Mercury (1960-1975) (CD).
    IRON BUTTERFLY-In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (heavily-played long song).
THE ELECTRIC PRUNES-I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night).
    SMALL FACES-Song: "Itchycoo Park"
THREE DOG NIGHT-Song: "Mama Told Me Not To Come"
TRAFFIC-Feelin' Alright/The Very Best Of Traffic (CD).
TEN YEARS AFTER-A Space In Time.
BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD-Retrospective/The Best Of Buffalo Springfield.
    EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER-Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
FLEETWOOD MAC-Mystery To Me (Song: Hypnotized).
LED ZEPPELIN-Led Zeppelin II, Houses Of The Holy.
THE DOOBIE BROTHERS-The Captain & Me.

    AUSTRALIAN import: (neo-psychedelic)
    THE MOFFS-Psychadelicatessen, Labyrinth (1988).
    "Moody Blues of Australia".

Most of the posts on this thread have excellant choices! I'm impressed! In the early 70's, I had shoulder-length hair, round, gold, wire-framed glasses and a blue jeans jacket. Many hippies told me that I looked like John Lennon!

Turn on, tune in and listen . . .
