John Lennon - My personal favourite. He was a lot more 'far out' than the others, and very funny, too. Without him, they'd probably never have got past singing 'She loves you, yeah yeah yeah' (yawn) Paul McCartney - Held them together, and an excellent songwriter. A little twee on his own, though George Harrison - Shite guitarist with no charisma. You'd think that someone who spent so much time with John and Paul would learn a thing or two about songwriting. Plus they helped him write all of his songs. Also prevented them from reforming because of his unjustified ego. I hate him Ringo Starr - Hilarious, although a useless drummer.
that's like asking who my favorite son is. john was a great activist, alot of his protests were useless, and he knew that but he did it anyway. george really helped popularize the indian music sound in america. paul was the most proper of all the beatles. and ringo was funny as hell in the movies. and in response to the person who posted about it being a shame john isn't alive, in my personal belief, though it is tragic he died, I think it is somewhat essential to the beatles continued popularity today
I can't answer that. That is like asking "Out of all of your children which one is you favorite?" I honestly believe if the Beatles were alive today we would have no need for the band Grandaddy. They sound like what i believe the Beatles would sound like today.
There's no way for me to decide either. I think ALL of them were great musicians, otherwise they would never have had this popularity and quality. Everyone of them was and is special in his own personal way. And I really don't think, that John's death had any influence on the popularity of the Beatles. If he was still alive, most of those government people, who think war is the answer to everything and who not even question the causes for their problems, would be in big, big trouble and the Beatles would be even more popular. I hope so at least.
Sheah, John was great. He was an awesome musician, a funny artist and he just wanted to give peace a chance. Although I've always though that George was a little under-rated. What 'bout you guys?
It is so hard to pick. I admire John's intellect and artistic brilliance so much, and he would have to be my overall favorite, but I admire George's spiritually a lot, and Paul had such a great personality and melodic gift. Obvisouly Ringo is out of the running, but he was CRUCIAL to the band's chemistry and sound, highly underrated!
i tried answering that question so long ago and well it's hard. sure i love john lennon for his message but i do enjoy that each of them brought so much to make this amazing band that is the beatles. =)
I can't believe nobody likes Ringo! He is, without a doubt, my favorite Beatles. Being a drummer, he is and inspiration that made me want to start playing the drums. John, Paul or George were great, but not like Ringo. I'm sorry, but Ringo is the best Beatle by far.
I have always took a liking to John, so I would have to say that he is my favorite Beatle. However, I do find every member talented and charismatic. Axis, how could you say that about George? Shame on you! I am not quite sure who I would pick to be my second favorite. Gosh, you just have to love them all!
John is one of the best and most creative songwriters of the 20th century. Easily my pick, although my family would disagree. They would probably say Paul.
Ringo's my favorite. He always has been. Ringo's so damn underrated. He's a cool, funny, laidback, nice, mellow guy. He has a great personality and a great sense of humor. He didn't have a dud when he was with the Beatles, and I think he's a great drummer. He was very innovative and I dig his style. Just listen to "Rain" - he did an EXCELLENT job on it. Ringo's kickass. Here's my order of the four, though (favorite to least favorite): 1) Ringo 2) George 3) John 4) Paul
