Fall semester is coming up, so post yours... This is always a fun thread. I'm takin' an assload of 18, which my lazy unmotivated ass will hopefully manage to break with all A's. Contemporary American Literature MWF 11-12 16th-19th Century British Literature TTh 11-12:30 Contemporary British Literature TTh 1-2:30 Advanced Creative Writing MW MWF 2-3 Writing for New Technologies MW 4-5:30 Film Appreciation TTh 3:30-5 (times are rounded) The Lit classes are for my major, English. Those are going to take up 95% of my time. I have no idea what the hell "Writing for New Technologies" is, but it's required for my Writing minor. I managed to squeeze the film appreciation class in there as a freebie. It's the last gen-ed class I have to take, and I managed to save it this far to give me a break in a heavy semester. Should be a fun silly and dull class since I probably have watched every movie there. I really like my schedule and feel like a badass for setting it up in such a way that I still don't have to wake up till 10ish everyday.
So far I'm keeping it at 15...haven't completely decided yet, but... Differential Equations Paleoanthropology Archaeology of Women Biology 141 (can't decide between this and physics) tae kwan do I and II Should be fun. I'm a math major. I've already completed my french minor, but I've also decided that I want the anthropology minor. I'm also thinking I might want to get into biology as a graduate minor. My intent is to be a math professor, but if I can contribute to things like knocking out cancer, that would be worthwhile and after having taken 7 credits of biology, the stuff is really intriguing.
Maybe he'd like to further develop his writing skillz? Not everything you learn and work at in education is necessarily going to create your career for you, is it? Besides, in my opinion, anyone who studies English language and literature should learn more about writing it. I wish I had better English teachers who could write well... I think it's a great idea, whether it's personal interest or for professional goal.
It's absolutely useless. But it's also the shortest minor in my university, and completing it would allow me to graduate early. Plus, I love to write, and a class that forces me to write would be good for inspiration. All in all, all minors are next to bullshit.
That's a nice schedule, BSR. They sound like interesting classes, especially the Film Appreciation one. My schedule is kinda like yours. I scheduled my classes so I don't have to wake up until at least 11. I just got back into the college I wanted to. I took a year off, because my grades were poor, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to go back. So I only have 12 credits right now, just to see how it goes. But my schedule is: Principles of Sociology MWF 12:00 - 12:50 Intermediate Spanish II MW 4:00 - 5:15 Sign Language and Braille T,TH 12:30 - 1:45 Golden age and Baroque T, TH 2:00 - 3:15 The Sign Language and Braille class is a pretty easy class, and fun too. So I decided to take it, so that all my classes weren't so serious. Golden age and Baroque is a Spanish culture class.. I guess discussing Spain/Spanish countries in the Golden Ages? Spanish is my major, by the way, hence the couple Spanish classes I have. I should do very good this semester, and I'm def. going to take more credits in the Spring semester.
Student Teaching in Elementary/Special Education Senior Seminar Community Resource & Collaboration I graduate this semester!!!! I am so ready to be done.
wow, it's so nice to see a serious minded, legitimate, not in your face, over the top BSR thread. I think I'm inspired but seriously, these kinds of threads are always fun, i never knew why discussing people's class schedules was so addicting, but it is. sounds like you've got a great semester of reading up ahead BSR, i'm jealous, esp. of your contemp. american lit class. My Semester as follows: MW - Drawing Fundamentals MWF - Judaism, Christianity, Islam MW - Philosophy of Religion MW - Research Tools: Ancient Greek T - Env. Geology Lab TR - Women and Religion 16 hours, I had 18, but I had to switch around and threw that Lab in there, to finish off my physical science req. I still have a history, a PE, and a life science req I have yet to complete, but I'm too stubborn to do anything about them yet. Couldn't get into the Advanced Fiction class I wanted (which I don't remember exactly how I let that happen) to finish my Fiction track in my Creative Writing major, however, the art class covers my fine arts requirement for the major. I'm also majoring in Religious Studies, and I think after this semester I'll only have like 4 more courses to go to finish that. Yes, I realize what you're going to say, "Creative Writing and Religious Studies??" and all I'm going to say is, I guess I don't like money very much. At least...you know...making it.
Histology Embriology Neuroscience Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry II Medical English Physiology Immunology Medical Statistics Medical Informatics Medical Sociology Principles of Medical Research Elective courses Umm...I just know the list for now, not the exact time.
Political Science 385: Israeli Politics Religion 323: Death and Dying Reilion 317: Modern Islam Language: Arabic
oh my that seems like a heavy course load! I guess you're going to be a doctor? I'm dreading student teaching...40 hours a week of teaching without pay....i'm going to be poor...
All the classes I've been putting off and now have to take to to graduate!!!! I'm definitely on a 5 year plan now that I go to a state college and my credits got all wacky from transfering... African American Literature The World of Cells The World of Cells Lab Statistics World History Developmental Disabilities in a Social Work Context Boorrrrring!
I guess it's awesome, haha. I'd much rather be challenged taking hard classes that I enjoy then be bored with all these stupid requirements. I might take statistics online and pick up Grassroot Politics or maybe even Backpacking if it's still open.. hmmm
This semester would be pretty hard, at least that's what my older colleagues have told me... Way of studying in my country is much different than in all of yours, I suppose (except for Piaf's), we still can't choose our classes, they're pretty much all obliging... This year I'm taking math 3 technical mechanics 2 building materials 2 resistivity of materials 1 mechanic of fluids hidrotechnics can't wait.......
Yup. Hopefully one day I will be a doctor. *sigh* Teaching, eh ? Interesting...But definitely not something I could ever do.
