Fag Hags

Do straight people hate fag hags as much as I do?

 

fag hags? what does the refer to?

 

I love them

 

They are their own breed, but I have nothing against them... some of them are actually really nice people (usually suffering from the "please-everybody-grandma" syndrome.

 

I try not to take part in too much hate. It's bad for your health.

On the other hand, laughter is rather good for it!

 

but "fag hags" try to turn the men straight no?

 

I've only heard the term in referance to a straight woman who is bestfriends with or hangs out with a gaggle of gay men. I have never heard the term imply anything sexual between the two people.

They're just hags!

This term has been in use in the uk for about 5 years.. And the only annoying thing I've found about them is that it's like a status symbol for them.. And it's ALL they freaking talk about!

They also use gays as a kind of "pass" to get them inot cool gay bars.. Hm..

no dear thats called denial, fag hags is a rather abusive term for straight women that feel more comfortable for what ever reason in the company of gay men, trying to turn them would be unproductive, a bit like this thread

I figured since a fag is a cigarette in england, a fag hag was an old women who smokes, possibly a chain smoker suffering from emphysema

My uncle is gay, and because we're only 10 years apart in age, we hang out a lot.... so he and his friends joke that I'm their 'fag hag', which is kind of funny.... but it has nothing with trying to make them straight. Although, now that my husband hangs out with the group too, the guys are trying to get him to go a little gay, jokingly of course, but it is funny.
