I was just wondering those of you who work with certain gods and goddesses, what are your experiences with working with them? How did you know that they were the right ones for you personally? Did you just feel drawn to them or where there certain things that happened when you worked with them that made your mind up? I guess I'm asking if you have had any "freaky" experiences? I have been looking for a form of the Goddess to work with recently, I wanted a Celtic goddess but as there is little information on them I'm having a tough time...I felt drawn to bridget but not so much at the moment. I'm beeing drawn to Aine now. Goddess of love, sun and moon, harvest, healing and justice. Last night before I went asleep I was praying to her saying "If it is my destiny to follow you please show me a sign" I wasn't focusing on it really just repeating it to myself in my head. I paused for a minute and then, as I was half way through the next I saw behind my eyes a big flash of light. Like the light you see when you're in the dark and a loud noise scares you. But there was no loud noise, I was completely relaxed and almost asleep. It freaked me out actually! lol Then tonight I was praying again to Aoife asking her to be with me and as I said that I suddenly felt "strong." It was like someone had fortified me with energy. I felt warm and relaxed like when you start drinking alcohol and you get that kind of whoosh! I know this all sounds very cheesy and it's probably just my imagination but so I was wondering does anyone have experiences like these????
my patron deity is Ares he came to me back when iwas 14/15 and i pedge to him after my dad past away to watch over me , he hasnt let me down i was drawn to him and he came to a lot before i made the pledge he was always around when i was down . as far as goddess i belive in white buffalo calf woman. she came to me when i had the misscarage and has been with me ever since
