what's with all the US bashing....are so many countries jealous? so why do so many immigrants still want to come and live in the USA?

the largest immigrant groups to settle in the USA the past 225 years are:
1. germans
2. irish
3. italians
4. british ....all of which are european, throughout americas history we have been the land of freedom and for many other countries citizens. America has a big ass target on itself for being #1....maybe the people who hate it just hate the present goverment and not it's people. I hope so.....

 

In Europe Americans are thought of as being a bit stupid because so few Americans travel or speak a second language and re-elected George Bush a second time.

The Russians played a bigger part in winning WW2 than America, although I doubt they taught that in American schools. On the nuclear front, who is still the only country to have used Nuclear weapons. Also what would you do with the Iran issue? Bomb the shit out of them I suppose?

Also Europe is composed of alot of countries not all have the same policies. Ireland for example is a neutral country which doesn't even have nuclear energy never mind nuclear weapons.

All the 'negotiations' provided was an additional two years for iran to work on their bomb(s) and for the european industries to make the almighty buck.

That really doesn't mean anything. As though the reason no one else has used nuclear weapons in war is because they are just 'better than that'. That's just a freebie excuse. They can't use them for other reasons but just want to pretend that's why they don't.

So fellow europeans & americans - for one try, let's tell eachother what we adore about eachothers continents.

I'm primarly afraid of the economic power of the USA. I'm afraid of their political power.
In Europe, lots of us don't like the part of the american mentality that says: "I'm the superior individual - I wanna win", but I think we're having a tendency to forget the good aspects of that kinda mentality. They are basically brought up with the thought that no limit is stronger than oneself; stronger than anybody. And that's definately one recognition which is underdeveloped in Europe. What would the hippie-movement be afterall, if there was no America from the beginning?
