So much for liberally educated coeds. I thought the guy at the end was funny. And I just had to look up the root word for suffrage: Latin, suffragium. Suffer comes from the Latin sufferre, from sub + ferre to bear Maybe we need to reintroduce Latin as a college requirement.
Modern-day America, where every and any dumbfuck can get into college, often at somebody else's expense, and a shitty degree means little because of that one reason alone. There are other reasons, too, but that is the big one. I am pretty sure at one time colleges were associated with real knowledge and enlightenment, but these days they seem like nothing more than a station on a factory assembly line, churning out a bunch of mindless automatons who are ready and eager to serve the system so they can afford everything they've been told to hold in high regard by the media and culture creators. Sorry, I am starting to rant.
It won't happen. Someone will say that it is not needed and that it is too much for poor kids. Although I personally believe Latin should be obligatory in high school.

It is bad enough that those young women do not know the meaning of the words but absolutely frightening that they would blindly sign a petition when they have no clue what they are supporting.
