DXM question.

There are two active ingrediants in the cough syrup I have DXM and Guaifenesin, is Guaifenesin safe to take/how much should I drink?

you will probable get sick taking Guaifenesin in large amouts. I wouldnt be surprised if there isnt anywhere from 400mg Guaifenesin to the 15mg dxm..

 

Guaifenesin is harmless. There are side effects, if you drink pure guaifenesin by the cup. You would have to drink considerably more cough syrup than the DXM would permit to have problems.

Ideally of course, you don't want to take chemicals you don't need. But this particular one won't hurt you in the amount you're talking about.

So basically drink plenty of water, which you should do anyway due to all the inactive chemicals not intended to be taken in high doses in cough syrup. It would be unwise to purchase and consume that type of syrup regularly in a recreational fashon, but with a trip or two you will be just fine. I personally have never even experianced nausia from guaifenesin, or at least nothing to compare to what you'll be feeling from the dex.

I linked you to wikipedia on it. It's not the only danger, but the only worry without prolonged abuse of syrup containing it.

In short, yes, it's just fine. If it would kill you to drink cough syrup with this stuff in it, I'd be dead as a doornail.

Strait after chugging a bottle, I'll start to feel it. But it won't REALLY hit for around 40 minutes.

Is this your first time dexing?

You're just fine, don't worry, it's very easy to get a bad trip going on dex by over thinking it. It's illegal to have unlabeled ingrediants that could hurt you, they would be listed under active ingrediants.

You're going to have a good time, just go with the flow.

 

Here's what I did, and it worked perfectly with no nausea.

Buy a bottle of Robitussin DM (NOT EXTRA STRENGTH). If you buy extra strength you get double the Guafenisen (the stuff that makes you feel sick).

Each tablespoon contains 10mg of DXM and 100mg of Guafenisen.

Drink the whole bottle, however you can. I did this by doing shots followed by orange juice. It doesn't taste good.

If available, smoke weed about 20 minutes after drinking the bottle. Go out for a walk at about 35 minutes and you should be starting to feel it. Smoking weed helps the nausea, and I find walking during the come-up gets rid of all the nausea.

If you do go out for a walk make sure you get back home before it fully hits you. The effects lasted around 8 hours if I remember correctly.

If it's your first time or a larger dose than you're used to, make sure not to be in a position where you can't rest as long as you might need, ie. if you go on a walk, make sure it's somewhere you COULD lie down if you needed, because you may not be able to walk, or indeed, open your eyes, during the peak if you're not used to it.

 

I got is Tussin DM the same thing as robotussion.

Really? I'd suggest like 200mg for a first time.

Remember: DXM is NOT one of the drugs you can just take more of if it's too weak, part of the experiance is determined by the ratio of dextromethorphan hbr to another version that it's metabolized into before further metabolization. If you take more at a later time, it will have very heavy "mindfucking" effects, and you will almost certainally not be able to stand up or anything, and experiance some nausia. (again, all assuming it's your first time... I personally enjoy having my dose a little stacked, I'll break it in half, and take them 20 minutes apart)

 

yeah i know this was kinda just an expriement and soon im going to get a bottle of my own thats not in my parents medicine cabinet.

 

75mg really isn't much, hell I did 300mg my 1st time and it didn't do much, but this goes to the next point:

Don't take anything with Guaifenesin!

DXM is a cough suppressant.

Guaifen is a decongestant, it loosen shit up so literally you cough it up, and in high doses guess what comes up, yea your stomach, you'll puke, probably a lot. Like epic projectile vomit.

 

It's personal, like I myself am not the least bit bothered by high doses of it. Though it sounds like you're a heavyweight with DXM and would have to deal with more than me, for a similar DXM experiance.

But either way, with 75mg, the op won't feel anything, really, from DXM or guaif.

Not to be a dick, but don't steal your parents shit, it's not even a script you can't get, go to the damn store and put your 4 bucks down.
