I just found out that theres a drum circle in my area...has anyone ever been to one and would like to dispense info? I want some more info about them...all I know is that they look like a great way to have a good time...
i've been to a few drum circles, they can be very fun! from what i understand, you get a bunch of people together with drums, someone starts a beat, and everyone copys it. It is a good time, but your hands can get beat up...also if you try to play with a acoustic guitar in a huge one, you cant really hear yourself
Yeah I live in Venice and every Sunday theres a drum circle over on the beach right off the boardwalk. A lot of cool people.
Drum circles can be truly awesome. I got turned on to the Rainbow Family by attending a few drum circles years ago in San Diego. A good drum circle can be felt all the way thru you. Its hard to describe. But there is a feeling that is very worth experiencing. I haven't been to one in years but now that you have reminded me I think I'll try to find one around Orlando.
I was at some when I was younger, and have wanted to go to one for ages again. I know someone who is into them so I'm gonna' ask her.
yeah, it's great fun to dance at a drum circle. i play flute and sometimes i can squeeze in some melodies, even though i am often overpowered. very earthy and beautiful. it's so primitive and fulfilling.
