Dredlocks

    I've been thinking for a while now about getting dredlocks, i think they look awesome! So i was wondering if anyone here knows how it's done,how to take care of them and just any other relevant information. Thanks:)

    hey hun, well a freind gave me dreads, my only tip to u , is during winter when it snows becareful, mine froze up on me and i had to cut em off, iam just now trying to grow my hair back

    Luckily i don't have to worry about it snowing here! You can't wash your hair can you? Did your's get real smelly and gross or anything?

    hi. ive had dreadlocks for over 2 years now. my mom put them in for me as a christmas present. i used dreadheadhq wax and shampoo, now i use nothing! magical hair!

    my dreads are gettin really long these days...

    i've had dreads for about 6 months now, and i love them. there are a few techniques to get them in and locked up. go to dreadheadhq.com

    It's easy if you have naturaly frizzy/curly hair; just stop washing and combing it. Any other technique leaves you with 'salon dreads', which look pretty but are for losers (imho ;-).

    Go the the knotty know how page in the personal forums.
    DONT USE WAX

    DO WASH YOUR HAIR!! (if its greasey they will not dread well)

    CLean hair dreads faster than dirty hair. Check out the knotty forum. I doubt there are to many places on the net that have as much useful, honest info in one place!

    Use Bees Wax If You Dont Like Them You Can Wash Them Out Im Getting Them Permently! But They Fuckin Smell Like Shit!

    no dont use bees wax. Bees wax will go mouldy. WHne you decis=de to dread your hair you do it with the knowlege of it being a perminant thing, you cant always brush it out so i wouldnt recomend using it as a fall back idea.
