If anyone feels up to it, would you mind relating and detailed accounts of your dreams and how the nature of dreaming has been altered after using LSD? Wether you used it once or a thousand times, Im very interested because dreams are so personal and emotionally heavy.
I would go first but it would end up being a novel and Im too tired to lay it down at the moment :cheers2: Also a little drunk :cheers2:

Wow, I wish I could remember. Dropped almost a year ago. This last year has completely changed everything about me, I can barely even recall what I was like and what I dreamed up before.

    i dont usually dream/remember them

but when i do, the dreams are pretty much the same as they have always been - i usually go on an adventure or get involved with some organisation that is housed in a magic complex with many areas
and there is usually a narrative involving relations with particular women

My dreams have definatly changed drastically, but that isn't due to LSD.

Bill, you may very well just not remember. Of course I have no way to speak for you and I dont mean to seem arrogant, but just very recently I realized that for the first time in 9 years since I started using psychedelics, that my dreams are absolutley nuts. I was never able to recall my dreams, maybe one a month or every two months if I was lucky, but somehow so many visions of my powerfully mind bending dreams started flooding back to me again last night, and I was totally humbled and struck with awe.

One thing I thought I would mention, and neodude above as had similar experiences, is that I have these dream loops, for lack of an established term (to my knowledge), where I will fall asleep, and then suddenly wake up, go about my normal life, and then something very subtle, just barely noticeable, will be slightly 'off' and I will realize "wow, Im dreaming and totally aware of myself dreaming!" and then I instantly wake up, in bed, and get up and go about my normal life, and the same thing happens, something just a little bit absurd will happen, and I wake up again, and so on until I get to a point where I've woken up anywhere from 5-10 times, in bed, totally thinking I am in sober waking consciousness, only to find that I am yet again stuck temporarily in a bubble of dream thought. When this happens, to be quite honest with you guys, when I finally do wake up for real, I usually find myself trembling with doubts of my sanity and fear that I am not in reality but rather stuck in the loop lol :cheers2:
It's completley awesome, the mind has yet to reveal something more profound to me yet than being forced to doubt your foundation in awareness, but at the same time it trouble me because I feel like this is happening due to my inability to fully come to terms with the mystery of nature during sobriety. I no longer fear for my relative state of mental health, such childish fears of the unknown thankfully left me some time ago. But one cant help but feel utterly confused during the loops.

makes ya question just where you are at right now ya? :cheers2:

BTW - It's b/c of these dream loops that I'm almost convinced that we are all dreaming, constantly, right now.

man we gotta be like the dumbest amoeba species that ever lived.

Surely I do wonder if I am awake or dreaming at times. Not freqently, but I have had my handfull of doubts.
I think one of our little nursery songs belongs in the Tao Te Ching
    "Row row row your boat
    gently down the stream
    merrily merrily merrily merrily
    life is but a dream"

You know what amuses me? the fact that is it SUCH a cliche.

all these people are walking around, talkin jive about how life if a dream, and we aren't who we think we are, and all this crap about "awakening", but really, it's learned ignorance. They don't even understand what they say. That's why as scary as those dream loop things are, I'm glad they are there to remind me when I need reminding.

Yea I know man, I had to kill this fucking shadow dragon with a party maximising at level 10 in Baldurs Gate 2, so I thought "eh, what's the harm? A little mood lift and an energetic boost never hurt nobody"
And here I am, 13 hours later, 5 beers deep, and I feel like I just slept for a week and woke up and drank 5 redbulls.
Oh well, this is the first time in history that I took a speed and didnt feel like commiting suicide after 2 hours :cheers2: I feel suprisingly equilibriated ;)

Yea man, all uppers, coke and amphetamines, make me unbearably depressed when they run the initial course.
But for whatever reason tonight I feel fine. I would very much like for a break so I could fall asleep, but all in due time :)
And yes you need to play this game, I promise you, it's epic.

I cant do amphetamines or any uppers, all except ginseng, I love ginseng.

But dreams, I know the dream loop well. But this would occur to me before I took LSD. I actually first touched on it years ago, I was all into trying to 'astral project'. Managed to do it a couple of times willfully, which it is pretty much just like meditating yourself into sleep, and then dreaming yourself in your immediate space. But your aware your there, and when you wanna come back, you gotta like, wake up a few times before you get the real body moving again.

This does happen to me every now and then just by itself. Last time it was really apparent, I had taken a bunch of valerian root to sleep, that shit causes some weird ass dreams.

In relation to LSD though, I have reseen LSD visions in my dreams, thats about it.

i barely ever used to dream before acid, now i have vivid dreams. want to talk about vivid dreams though? take some melatonin before you go to sleep. the first few days that you start on that... GOD is dreaming absurd.

i never realise i am dreaming though

and i know what you are talking about with the dream loop. it's never happened to me, but it resembles my salvia trip alot. here is what i decided after that trip, hope it helps:

life isn't neccesarily a "dream" -- although after the trip i got an overwhelming feeling that life was not real -- but life is impermanent. because of this, nothing really has any kind of bearing on you, except for what you perceive and let leave a lasting impression on you. therefore even though the methods by which dreams and realities employ their influence are extremely different, their hold in true reality is undistinguished.

dreams are simply another form by which the human psyche can express itself. so simply decide what these dreams mean to you, and learn from that. perhaps a fear of reality?

"I am surrendering to gravity and the unknown
    Catch me, heal me,
Lift me back up to the sun
    I choose to live..."

yeah my dreams are all so vivid and intense.

the other night something came to me in a dream and started talking about my waking life. "in the next 24 hrs i will come to you and help you save your immortal soul"
    =O
