The dread accessory thread made me want to get some so I ordered some gorgeous ones. Question though. How do I attach them to my dreads? I've seen people do this:

But I think my dreads are too fat for this. Anyone got any advice?

never seen em but if tyhey are coils they should expand to fit the dread just slip em on the end and force upwards till they wont go up any higher and they should stick

Well it did say in the listing they are fully expandable. But thanks Soaring Eagle. Ohhh I bought some Toerings that I'm gonna put in my hair. Hopefully they'll come for my tenth month dreadyversary in 5 days

TOERINGS! that's a good idea! I do like the coils, also. Are they just made of copper or what? are they washable, or tarnish proof?

I stumbled across them by accident. typed in dread coils on ebay. Not much came up but there was a buy it now on "toe ring/dreadlock jewellery"

Pretty aren't they? I think it's about time I decorated my beautiful locks.

I think the coils made of silver plated wire. Didn't say if they were washable but the seller said that she washes her dreads everyday and they haven't tarnished.

well, if your dreads are too fat, it doesn't look soldered or glued so you will be able to expand it if that's the situation. It won't be quite as evenly wound if you do that though. I actually made some dread coils for fun and if the wire isn't too tough to work with you can make it the right size for any dread. It's very cute!

That's a spring from a hardware store with a charm attached??

Toes rings seem good. I wanna add some stuff to mine once the frizz dies down a bit and they mature up. How fun to decorate one's hair!!!

    HAHAHA Cheek! :p
I've never decorated them til now. It's really exciting isn't it??? The seller said she uses wax to put hers in. Not fond of that idea but she said she'd send me a few different wire sizes to try. Yay. I like Soaring Eagles idea of putting them on seems the easiest. I'm so excited
