Down with MTV!

If only a new form of music channel could be distributed to the masses.

One that challenged it's viewers to actually think about music and not "b*tches and h*es"!

MTV. The Music Television channel that doesn't play music.

Its all pimp my rides and cribs etc. The only good thing on MTV in the last 10 years was jackass and bam

 

and the difference between jackass and cribs/pimp etc? are they either music or intellectual?

 

Great point brothwood. Why anyone would consider "jackass" to be a good show is beyond me. Dumb, mindless garbage that was probably used as a distraction from Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine which were both released around the same time (jackass, the movie, that is).

I think jackass is funny.

Yes it is moronic behaviour but its light entertainment. There is no harm done and lots of people think its amusing.

I'm sure the same could be said for pimp my ride and cribs but I just don't like them.

Is MTV something really to protest about? I do think they could actually play music on it but they have other channels to do that with.

 

MTV. Sucks. Programmes are just so brainless and completly idiotic.

Sure, light entertainment is cool and funny, but on a channel that advertising itself as a MUSIC CHANNEL it does piss me off.

MTV. MUSIC TELEVISION. Yeah, okay.

 

But, okay, they have MTV and MTV2, and I know that one has to be playing music even if the other isn't at any given point during the day. So, that's not the biggest problem. It's probably not MTV as much as its the entire music industry that promotes these ideas of regarding the joys of premature intercourse and sexism and whatnot.

 

I am positive that was the goal of jackass. MTV doesn't like the liberal point of view at all. They will do anything to stand of the way of it.

jackass isn't a good show. But that doesn't mean its not pretty damn funny to watch at times. and MTV does suck, even if I made out with an Gideon Yago's little sister.

 

I agree that MTV sucks.

But I also disagree with censorship for the most part, so even though I think MTV is lame, and filthy... I wouldn't go and try to get it taken off the air. If somebody wants to dumb themselves down by watching that fuckin' crap, they can be my guest... They weren't the brightest people in the first place, if they subject themselves to that thoughtless dirt.
