This is just a fun poem I wrote a few years ago. I don't really beat men... :)

    DOWN FOR THE FIGHT

I was out for a walk
    on a cold, winterÕs night.
    Wandering and squinting
    and battling frostbite.

    Falling onto the street
came a man from my right.
    Staggering and wincing
it had been a long night.

    A cowboy came along
    he looked quite a sight.
    Shaggy and weathered
and six feet at full height.

    He grabbed the poor man
and hit with all his might.
The man bled and he hurled
    onto the snow so white.

    I said, ÓCowboy, hold up
    I can see youÕre uptight
    but heÕs drunk, heÕs bleeding
and heÕs down for the fight.Ó

    The cowboy turned slowly
his look gave me a fright.
    I think my face turned
ten shades of grey and white.

    ÓLook, missy,Ó the cowboy said
    ÓGirls are pretty but trite.
what makes you so damn sure
    youÕre so smart, so right?Ó

I didnÕt flinch, I didnÕt wince
Ôthough I felt the stinging bite.
I was proud, I stood tall
    on this cold, winterÕs night.

    I pulled on my mittens
    and cinched my belt tight.
    I straightened my clothes
    until I looked alright.

    I squared up my shoulders
and drew up to full height.
    inside I gathered up
all my strength, all my might.

    ÓHey, cowboy,Ó I called
    into the frosty moonlight
    ÓYouÕre lucky you met me
    on this cold, winterÕs night.

    ÓToday I will teach you
    you will find youÕre bright
you will learn that IÕm smart
and when IÕm right, IÕm right.

    The cowboy smirked, he grinned
    but a fever burned bright.
he reached out to grab me
and to pull me in tight.

I was fast, I was quick
I swung with my left ÔnÕ right.
I was hard, I was strong
    that cowboy felt my might.

He was down, I was through
    with my righteous, girls fight.
    The poor cowboy looked up
with a face full of fright.

    I said, ÓCowboy, cheer up
    You can see IÕm uptight
    But youÕre drunk, youÕre bleeding
And youÕre down for the fight.Ó
