sorry im not sure. Our dog had one when he was very very old, he collapsed and went unconcious while he was walking us, and it was horrible. Vet came out and said it was ok, hes was fine, that many dogs get them, that he ws jsut overheated and over exherting himself on his walk. I thik this is true. But about 4 weeks later he got really sick and we found out he had a liver tumour and he had to be pts. Sorry i cant help ive never had a dog that has siezures as a regular thing.
Seizures are not normal. It's pretty much the same as with humans. It can also be a sign of illness or disease. I'd take the dog to the vet. They sometimes can be controlled with medication. ~Peace~
My dog has epilepsy and takes phenobarbital to control the seizures. His seizures can become quite violent, but with the medication they are mild when he has one. A couple of times I almost lost him when he wouldn't come out of one and had to take him to the vet emergency room. If your dog is having seizures PLEASE see a vet.
