call weed dope? Weed is not dope. Dope is heroine.
Idk why it just irritates me sometimes I hear people say lay off the dope, or lets go smoke some dope and they mean weed.

 

I think saying "lets go smoke some dope" sounds funny. And it's just a name man.

 

Making your pet peeve a matter of general knowledge will ensure that the term is used around you. "Dope" was a pretty common term when I was younger and I never really thought about it much. Seems pretty a apt descriptive considering the effects I've had smoking better weed... err, I mean dope.

Dope is not heroin, dope is a number of numerous things, in the 60's-70's dope often was in fact weed and old habits die hard. Just like here speed means adderall, dexadrine and the such, while in most places in the country speed would mean crystal meth

Also, heroine would refer to a hero of the female gender, heroin would refer to an opiate derived drug

 

That was in the 60's and the 70's. Now if anyone says dope the first thing that comes to my head is heroin. Usually the people that call weed dope dont smoke weed. And usually to people that smoke weed dope is heroine, not weed. It just seems weird to me when people call weed dope.

the first time i got arrested i had a power trippin pig all over us. during the search, arrest and thrown in jail the cop not once said anything but marijuana but "dope."

weed is not dope, weed is grass. i hit the corner for dope. i go exploring in the woods for grass.

Oh god, has anyone here ever watched the show DEA? they call EVERY drug dope... in one episode they said there were going to bust a dope dealer, so I was expecting heroin... but it was crack. in another they busted a "dope house" which was a weed grow op. Yet in ANOTHER they referred to an ecstasy trafficker as a "dope peddler", lmao

haha i dont think dope is a bad thing to call weed, just another word for it, the majority of old crusties here call it dope but likes been mentioned before int he 60s/70s that was a regular term for it. Some friends of mine call it dope sometimes too haha but said friends have grown up with crusties
