I have a doorknob...its rather nice, actually. We bought a set for all of our doors that have matching keys..cost like $100 but we have 4 damn doors on this house, so it was a good investment.

It looks like stainless steel, which is nice. But the deadbolts piss me off. With the house swelling in these warm months, I can never lock or unlock them.

I've got a bronze handle. There's a hole just beneath it for the key to slot in, it's about the size of a key hole. Surrounding the keyhole there are numerous scratches from all the times I've missed, and the key has scratched the plate. There are 4 screws, also bronze(I think), securing the plate to the wooden frame which has recently been painted white.. it was previously varnished bare wood, which I miles preferred. It was so much more interesting to look at.
Anyway, the handle itself is slightly curved.. it resembles the shape of the F holes on a cello, just not as elaborate. It also sticks out about an inch and a half from the plate.

I'd describe the inside of the handle, but I can't find a screwdriver to take it off the door..

 

I have a knob, round, brushed nickel, with a flat face and a keyhole in the center. Rather boring really.

 

So many knobs, I have lever. Actually most of people here have levers.
