I have just came to the realization that I hardly watch television anymore. I occasionally will watch Comedy Central, late at night for a few hours and some sports on holidays or something, but the majority of my time is now spent on the internet. I prefer the internet as I can actually use my mind to engage in discussion and talk about topics like this. I find youtube can keep me occupied as well. I basically only use the television to play video games these days.

I have just lost interest in television. There are far to many reality shows, sports doesn't interest me the way it once did and a lot of the drama shows seem over dramatic and garbage compared to movies. I don't find many of the current sitcoms all that funny. Keep in mind I just have the 40-50 basic cable channels and don't get networks like showtime or hbo. Has anyone else lost interest in television?

I watch way less now that I'm online. TV feels like a relief whereas you don't have to do anything once you find the channel you want.

Yah that's true, it's kind of like the opiate of the electronic medium world. I lost my changer too :( so that makes things a bit more frustrating.

eh, i watch the cubs when i can... but aside from the daily show and colbert, i've lost almost all interest in it. i will attribute most of it to the fact that the programming is fucking horrible. for instance... there is nothing pertaining to history or discovery on either channel of said name... false advertising. i could care less about how mustard is made, or some jackass ripping a guy off for a hot air balloon. nat geo has become just as bad.

I watch the news. and I turn it on for background noise sometimes. Any kind of actual programming I watch is downloaded and taken to the laptop via flash drive thats hooked up to my tv. and sometimes I watch pbs

I only watch TV for the movies that might be on. Other than that I either record shows that I hear about in the paper or on the internet (Mostly from PBS, Discovery Channel etc..) or I go on the internet to see if I can watch new shows.

I like watching movies, but that's about as much action as my tv gets.

Occasionaly Il burn a fatty bowl and watch somethin like antique road show with the volume muted. Then turn somethin real gangster like brotha lynch and imagine the people on tv are rapping.

I've been without regular tv for a year now, Internet only, and now when a tv is available, I can't watch it I get bored & frustrated I just don't know what to do with it anymore. The dynamics of tv and Internet are so different to me
