I find that if i take oxys or any opiate, they just make me feel awful unless I can smoke my usual herb regimen. Same with alcohol or any drug. If I don't have weed, the only alternative is no drug at all. And I feel relatively normal in that condition.

i'm wondering specifically if you require weed in order to enjoy the full efficacy of opiates.

I like to smoke weed if I have it around when I'm fucked up. Just makes the whole situation a lot more fun. Especially if you're on hydromorphone or something like that where you get the high but no euphoria... Weed is basically the final stage of getting fucked up off dilaudid.

vodka+opiates+tobacco is all I need, I find weed kind of changes the high for me in a negative way

I prefer not to smoke when opiated up. Letting the warm caressing chemicals melt my drooping limbs is amazing enough as it.

Yes, cigarettes are required for me to fully enjoy any opiate. I usually end up chain smoking a little, but it's all good.

As for pot, I never really smoked it while on. Never wanted to, because part of the joy of opiates is the clear-headedness (I don't think that's a word :p) of the high. I love the pure body high.

When I'm taking opiates I like to enjoy them in and of itself. Cigarettes are nice, though. When I smoke weed it's hard for me to feel them unless I took an OC80 or something, then I'm feeling stoned silly.

Polecat and Ebene are exactly right. If you're smoking shitty weed it completely interferes with and ruins the high from the opiates you're on. Even if I had some beasters or something I still wouldn't mix the two because I just love feeling the warm euphoria itself.

yeah I used to really enjoy a cig after some oxy with a friend or two. there's just something about talking to a homie holding a cig, talking about how cool opies and life are. There's always good convos over a cigarette. I haven't had a cig in at least 18 months.

I think I just require weed because my body is chemically adapted to it. Smoking pretty much every day for a couple years before even trying an opiate probably set the precedent that I can't enjoy any drug without weed first

For me weed is just a constant. The other drugs i'm doing change from day to day but I always smoke. It enhances any high for me.

well im a pothead through and through. so yeah i smoke with opies. I havent even done any in about a month, but when I was doing oxycontin, as much as i liked it, I more or less used it as an enhancement for the dank! sounds weird i know, but pot has always been my DOC.

speaking of OC, its probably good that my connect dried up, otherwise I'd probably already be hooked on them shits. I was trying to space out my use to once a week, but towards the end there i was doing em 3-4 times a week. 40mg crushed at once-- not a whole lot, but enough to have me a nice 6-7 hour buzz. i remember when i first started fucking with pills, 1 5mg perc would have me nodding out. even 40mg of oxy never got me that nod like i had on the percs.

    I concur.

I'm pissed at my idiotic friend. I gave him two of my 10's and he's been blowing them, but said he's felt nothing. half of one of those with chronic blew me away, and I have a higher tolerance than his weenie-ass. He's only smoked tiny amounts of weed with it, even after I told him he might need lavish amounts of weed to potentiate the oxys. He never really had a healthy appreciation for oysters, he just likes getting f'ed up. wasteful...

Yeah I NEED weed after opiates definitely, I smoke non stop every day pretty much though so its part of my daily life to smoke. I smoke on everything. Dont get me wrong though, I do enjoy sober moments as well.

seems to be synergistic with the pain killing of opiates. The combo is nice in the right amounts. Yet if you need to be doing something its better to just stick with the opiate.

Does anyone else besides me hate corrupting the beautiful high that comes with opiate use by smoking weed? I've tried it and smoking weed significantly detracts from my opiate high, and actually, to me, is worse than smoking weed alone. Not only do I not get the warm, happy oxy effect, I don't get the intense, thoughtful, experiencial high I usually get from good herb.

Putting the two together completely ruins them both for me.

I can't imagine why people would ever WANT weed w/opiates, much less NEED them!!

Can someone describe to me what happens for them after blowing your normal hit of oxy then taking a couple bong rips? What is it that makes this combo attractive?

    Thanks,

    -V

I think weed enhances the opiate effect 10x. Until I smoke I don't even get that fucked up. I get more fucked up more doing 40 mgs and getting high as shit, then doing 60 mgs without weed. Opiates give you a giant body buzz, and weed gives you a mind buzz, so when you put them together its so much better.

for me, it's not that I need what weed provides to enjoy opies, by body is just very chemically adapted to weed. So if I do anything at all and weed isn't involved, it's not the same. I do have the ability to retrain my body to new smoking schedules and if I wanted to quit herb altogether, I could train my body to accept it, in time...

I'm just an herbhead first and foremost. Once I tried quitting weed and used oxys to help take the edge off; they just made me feel worse.

it's not that weed is more addicting than other things, it's just that I deliberately addicted myself to weed , and it's the foundation of my drug diet :)

there's no added effects to the oxy because of weed, it just makes the opiate high possible. I probably would get a better time out of an opiate if I wasn't so hooked on weed, but I'm not willing to reform that.
