I like it, but it doesn't fit in my room..

i love it.

i really want a bed with heavy curtains on it sometime, but i'd make good use of them, they would be for function more than appearance.

it is hard for it to be dark enough for me when i want to sleep, and even little things like the light from a clock can annoy me, let alone light seeping in from the window or things like that.

so i'd love a bed that i could close off like a cave, and really get somplace pitch black where i can sleep really well.

the only time i probably WOULDNT close it off when i'm sleeping would be if it got really hot in the summer time:cheers2:

 

i LOVE four poster beds. i used to have one.. years ago. now alls i got is that ikea bed..

 

OH! also, the posts would be functional for reasons other than the curtains

they would work well for having one end of the ropes tied to them....

 

i have my grandmas old full bed. its a step up from my twin bed i had a year ago. i barley fit on that bed. i would end up on the floor some nights. my feet would always hang off it. I got new pillowcases and some new pillows and now my room is shaping up. thats a really pretty dream bed though.

 

It is very pretty. It doesn't look very comfy to me for some reason though...
I would have to add a huge pillow top or space foam mattress on it or something,more pillows,giant comforter. Then,maybe I would love it. the frame is pretty.

I do like four poster beds, I prefer really plush sleigh beds though.That is what I really want.

 

the mattress looks awfully stiff. but other than that, great bed.

I'm in favor of four-posters because it makes tying your girl to them soooo much easier.

I love the bed, but I wouldn't want it. Its way too big.

this bed is suitable for the cast and crew of SNL...

me and piaf can squeeze quite comfortably into a twin bed.

although i love the bed i have, full of history, was my great grandmothers, my sis spent her first night in it, i lost my virginity in it!

i need a huge new bed. we broke ours!

 

long time ago when ppl didnt have ceilings but open rafters, dirt and dust was a problem from above.. The canopy bed was designed to keep the ppl in the bed from getting dirty from above.
It also provided heat loss prevention when you used hot bricks for bed warmer since its like a tent.
And it kept the bugs out..
I always thought the canopy bed would be safe in case of a intruder. They wouldnt be able to see you..
