Like it isn't really fair to expose people to yourself and all your problems? Like you're just too damaged/weird/fucked up for others to deal with, that to put your problems in their view is cruel and unnecessary?

I spent so long hiding parts of myself from the people around me... Shame played a big role in that desicision, but when I started thinking about the effect that revealing my screwed up core to my friends would do to me, I became aware that these people mostly didn't know that the things that have happened to me over the years have even existed..

So, sure, to protect the innocent, I share with very few people just how fucked up I am.. Took me along time to built a shell around myself, so don't see much point in cracking under a little pressure..

Yeah, I definately feel like I am pretty fucked up all the time, but I also realized recently that everybody else have similar problems and it kind of makes me feel less alone, and that in turn made me feel happier. Sometimes people just don't open up and they keep in their shell, and it can be bad for themselves and the people around them. If we all just revealed our true selves, we wouldn't have much to worry about, except the people who think they have no vices or something wrong with them. ;)

definately. i don't want to drag anyone else into my rabbit hole by explaining my thoughts and putting them in their heads when they don't need them.

    Put yourself first

If anything, sharing the personal is not a burden to the other but a privledge...they get to see who you really are.

It all depends on the people you are opening up to because you could tell the world your problems and feel better but the next day your labeled as the schizo. What good does that do, now everyone knows you have severe mental issues. And it is true that everyone has issues but what makes people different is how big some peoples issues are over the next person. I dont tell anyone anything becuase I know that most people would just make fun of it the next day and then your labeled for life.
