Hey! Anyone out there read this magazine? I got an issue of it for the first time the other day (from work so it took a while to actually buy it lol) and I think it looks OK. From what I could see anyway, keep having to hide it under my duvet when my mum comes upstairs... But what do you girls think of it if you read it? Also, do you think it would be a good idea to leave a copy on my pillow when I go away for a few days? Cos my mum would inevitably come into my room and see it, so it would be a good starting point. I just don't want her to have a look through it and see some of the adverts...
I've heard of DIVA but I've never read it. I don't think it's that common in Canada, I'm assuming it's like Curve? I wouldn't leave the magazine out for my mom to read. Although, I've left some pretty weird shit at my parent's house and they haven't said anything about it... If I were I parent (and straight), I'd rather hear from my kid if they thought they were gay, opposed to finding a magazine that suggests gayness.
I quite like it. I wouldn't leave it laying around for your mum to read. If you want to come out to her, then sit down and talk with her.
agreed. i wouldn't go playing games when it comes to ...well, coming out. it might be something to show her AFTER you come out to her though. but i think if you tell her yourself, she'll be a lot less hurt, because at least you'll be able to tell her (with words and actions) that you trust and love her, and want her to know who you are.
