anyone use this? i've just started, and i really appreciate this little device! some questions: can i sleep with it in? i imagine so - basically it collects the flow just like a pad would any suggestions on easy and clean removal? it's been difficult for me...
Yeah they are good. Kinda m,ake that time of the month go a bit easier lol this website is pretty good http://www.divacup.com/ xxx
I sooo want one of those and have for a long time but I've yet to come by 40 dollars to invest in it. They seem like a great alternative to the crap you by at the store that poisons your body!
well, mine was $30, if that helps? it really is great. i think what panik is suggesting, if i may, is that tampax type tampons contain bleach (and who knows what else - inorganic junk), which definitely irritates your cooch. also, the whole deal with a tampon is that it literally sucks up the wetness as a sponge would; the blood and other natural vaginal liquids. when too much natural moistness is taken with the tampon, it can cause toxic shock syndrome. the cool thing about the diva cup is that it doesn't suck up any moistness, it simply collects the flow. therefore, it essentially acts as a pad would, but minus the mess. whew! also, it's reusable, so it's certainly better for the environment.
hmm yeah bleech I never really thought about that.. damn that sucks! I love my tampons haha.. hmm lemme go find that diva cup! there already were..similar things, you know, also a little cup that you insert? but I never tried cause I had no idea how to get it out, and how to get it out without spilling blood all over yourself! has anyone actualy tried it? gimme some testimonials
yeah, i'd say getting it out is definitely tricky at first! i've had a couple incidents. now i'm getting better at it!
so practise is the key huh but apart from that, is it comfortable? does the little stick thingy not hurt?
it's comfortable, but it takes just a bit gettin used to. the little stick does not hurt at all, or even make a difference in feeling. at first, you can feel the cup, but once you get used to it a little, it's all good.
ya know, like, regularly up. you should be able to sorta grab the tip. it should be far enough up so that it's comfortable; in my experience, it doesn't really move too far up cause it's too large. honestly, i found it a bit uncomfortable at first (i've only used it through one period so far), but by the end of the cycle, it was much better. just gotta maneuver it. and my veteran diva cup wearing friends tell me the same.
i got one about six months ago? something like that... i found it kinda difficult at first but now i dont have any problems w/ it and i really like it.
