    Any advice on this?

I know most of it comes from determination and all, but there's got to be little tricks and tips. As of recently, I've made a vow to myself to refrain from "Incorrect Speech". Meaning "Curse" words as well as negativity towards others.

I've had experiences dealing with trying to Discipline my Mind before. I attempted to go a month without any TV, Phone, Ipod, Games, any electronics that serve to entertain. I went as far as 2 weeks.

I'm going to do it again and try and hit my goal. It should be easier now that I have some instruments.

But anyways, any suggestions are highly appreciated.

    Namaste, John.

Be gentle w/ yourself. Do not beat yourself up if you mess up and swear. Learn lessons from the mistakes you make and be grateful for these lessons. Some of the biggest mistakes I have made have actually been the best lessons I have learned. Sometimes we regret something we have done, but this is ultimately useless. See the mistake, look at the lesson, and move on. You can't change the past, so why fret over it? This is easier said than done, but when I catch myself reminiscing over past errors, I have to stop from focusing on the negative and look at the lesson. Good luck w/ your journey.

Perhaps you should try giving up one electronic device at a time, for shorter periods of time and then build up to longer periods w/o the devices. As my doctors like to say, start low and go slow- this advice is very sound for making effective changes. Otherwise, I have a tendency to go all out and not be able to maintain that change. Too much, too quickly.

    Peace and love
