My dad says if the draft is reenstated, we're Canada ho! It'll be pretty easy since he's a canadian citizen. He's actually thinking about buying property there.
the draft will only go through if those democrats pushing for it are successful. i don't see that happening.

The neocons have no choice other than to reinstate the draft, which will probably happen within the next year. Whether they want to bring the draft back or not, they will have to in order to "win" the battle in Iraq. We simply don't have enough troops, especially if the neocons have plans to extend their war into Iran, which they do. People can go along with all the propaganda they hear on the media, but the draft boards wouldn't be in the process of being filled if this was not true. Bush said he will not bring back the draft, but of course we know what a liar the man is. It's only a matter of another terrorist attack -- which they have repeatedly said will happen -- for the whole story to change.
i'm thinking the enlistment will go ballistic through a well planned attack. look at the enlistments after 9/11. being a navy brat, every time something mildly scary happened there'd be a media blitz to get people to enlist. i just think that the "patriotism" will do the job.
