Denver has it really leaglized mary jane to poession of one ounce? someone agrees with me that beer is worse for you then reef, voted 53 to 47. people die off of drunken rages, my brother did. people don't die after burning a doob, Go Denver!
uhhh, this does not belong in events/ fests but I'll answer before moving the thread. Yes 100 passed by a slim margin. THe AG and the police say they will still arrest on a state law (Denver had a city statute against possession). Most arrests are under the state statute, BUT this opens up for pro legalization police officers to simply write a public smoking ticket. So like our (Colorado's) med mj law, it is subject to attack from a higher level of government. Would that we would get bright enough to have dry/ smoky counties like we did with alcohol for so long. (and some states still do???) Want to not have pot around? move where it's not sold. Want it around/ don't care? locate where the law says it can be grown.
I heard on the radio that the same folks who got bill passed in Denver are going to try it state wide next vote. That would be cool as hell.
we'll see. Lots of the state really dislikes Denver -initiated ideas, good or bad. The question would remain if the feds would leave people alone, or if the AG would get the law overturned. We can't even REALLY use the med mj laws.
