i just came back from a show they did tonight. fucking awesome! really a great show! it was a lot better than i thought it would be, cause chino is a washed up alcoholic, but he was awesome. does anybody else like the deftones? or even heard of them? tell me what you think about em!
Yes indeed. The Deftones definetely kick major ass. Way better than all those NuMetal bands. Fucking Korn.
ever since around the fur,with the songs: my own summer,around the fur,be quiet and drive,and head up,i was hooked on this band. They really get under your emotions enough to stir some of the angry ones up and let you release them through their music. they have a few different types of songs though. i mean lately they have been releasing songs such as "Change" and such that are really ALOT lighter than their previous work. Although they still produce some pretty heavy songs, their older work will always remain my favorite. I mean its just so much more raw and to the "im angry, your angry, lets tear our lungs out and jam out to heavy guitar riffs and terribly loud screams from chino himself." around the fur was awsome because its was alot of that heavier sound , and then addrenaline (sp?) came out and damn...what a bad ass album. I suggest you listen to Nose Bleed and Engine No. 9 from that album. White pony was pretty nice too but i found it to be a lil lighter with some of the songs on that album. DONT GET ME WRONG White Pony is an AWSOME album, i just mean that its alot different than their usual work. This is the Deftones many people think of when they hear their name. I dunno if its the best depiction of them though. because many of the people i talk to that tell me of that automatic thought of white pony, think that they arent tough enough or something.
