i just saw him for the first time tonight....and what a show. it was so good. the venue, was acoustically perfect and right on the Vancouver coast. during set break we hung out in the woods with other people from the show and blazed....it was so peaceful so perfect...
what was great about it....it was like a Classical Show, the crowd was silent and every note could be heard.....and after each song the crowd would erupt.....only once or twice did some people started to hoot during some of slam grass parts.....actually once i got out of control and yelled something. i felt kind of stupid right after.....but it was the soul....
Watchin' a documentary called Grateful Dawg It has been a real joy to watch. For no particular reason I never listened to much of Grisman-Garcia works, but wow they were tremendous together. I found it on Indieplex Channel-no upcoming showings though, but I suggest if you ever get a chance to give it a watch. Sadly it is almost over and I did not think to record it-oh well Has anyone else ever had the pleasure to see it?
Just watched Grateful Dawg for the first time a few weeks ago. Damn that Arabia at the end is good shit.
Yes it was pretty incredible. All the music was pretty amazing, but I really loved watching Jerry sort of candid. Poor guy was looking pretty rough though-really sad-I miss him.
In case anyone is interested, awake, and gets Indiplex Channel-Grateful Dawg is on at 3am Eastern time.
