fucking DARTS!? why is this crap being televised. poker gets on my nerves at times, but darts, are you kidding me. and all these people watching people throw darts in person. anyone else have a problem with these so called "sports"?
hahaha YES. but at least darts is more of a sport than freekin poker. darts takes energy and skill. I saw a crazy sport, I never dreamed of watching on espn, or never competing in........ it was trick shot bowling.......... wtf! they had some chairs set up in the alley, and they had to roll the ball through the chairs and get a strike...... and other shots like throwing one ball down the middle on a 7-10 split, and then kissing the other bowling ball off the one going down the middle, and make the 7-10 split. I cant even get a 7-10 split with one ball! crazy!
there was another one where they had to put a bowling ball in a towel and throw a strike out of the towel........ and they do some shots between the legs, and over ramps and stuff....... it was really odd...... and unbelievable actually.
yea, i agree that darts take energry....but i was shocked. i watched it for about 5 minutes before i got wicked annoyed with the announces raspy voice and i just had to shut it off. wasn't like i turned it on to watch darts, i just turned the tv on when i got back from a friends room and it was on. i've seen the trick shot bowling before. its interesting what they can do with the ball though, can get pretty creative.
exactly. I was transfixed by the trick shot bowling. Im a bowler, and a pretty good one in fact, what they were doing with those trick shots was amazing to me. trick shot pool is the same way, but Im not good at pool. yeah, I couldnt watch televised darts..... but the announcing on poker is just as bad...
i'm not a 10-pin bowler. i do candlepin, well i did in the past bowling for a league. haven't did that in years. but yea, i'm amazed at the trick shots. same with pool. and i agree, the announcing of poker is bad too. i can do some of the pool trick shots.
haha, i've seen it a few times. my 10th grade biology teacher did curling, went to tournaments and everything. she actually brought in a video to show us about it. hahah
I enjoy watching darts. I suppose it is just like any other sport you watch, if you know the rules and the players it is fun to watch. I rather watch darts than baseball or American football. Those sports bore me.
I didn't know darts was televised now. I think that is idiotic to be called a "sport" and all. I mean darts are FUN to play but it's m ore like a drunken bar game, not a damn sport.
I dont know the actual "definition" however to me a "sport" is something that involves a bit more physical activity, ya know?
