..and it's the only song on the album that moved me to tears. By far the strongest track on the album. I'm curious, Matt, could I ask you to elaborate? Because, bearing in mind that this is a concept album made specifically to emulate a specific sound, I'm wondering why you would use a word like cliche to describe something so clearly emotional and poignant. Are you referring to the lead vocals, or to the vocoder ascending the scale? Of course I'm being facetious but I'm actually genuinely curious for your opinion, I've told you many times that yours is one of the very few I respect, and I am always truly shocked when I find our tastes vary to an extreme degree like this. I honestly was in tears the second time I heard that song, and the first time I was pretty damn near close; instrumentally it's one of the tightest pieces on the album, but I am very impressed with the vocals as well, not because they are of a profound or complex nature, but because they are heartfelt and sung with seeming joy.

    Your welcome.

But, dude.. 'pedestrian'? Thank God that word seems to have at least replaced hypnagogic! By the way, have you ever heard Kenny G's early stuff? No joke, although don't get me wrong I'm no fan either..

This is how I feel to.
I don’t understand how you can describe something as cliché, when the purpose of the song is to emulate and pay tribute to a style from the past. I feel like it perfectly captures the feeling and makes you feel good. Still, I find there’s something very “fresh” about it and while it takes my mind to the past, it still sounds original. It’s one of those songs that I could listen to anytime and feel instantly happy.

I liked Daft Punk long ago and then ended up getting really annoyed years back when they got REALLY big but.. I got over that and realized however many people can like what they want and that doesn't make the music any worse.

Anyways... so far I'm really liking Giorgio by Morodor the most I think but also Give Life Back to Music and Lucky and well... I actually started listening to the album again today and I really like the whole thing except that one track.. it could end up growing on me... I don't know ... it just kinda rubbed me the wrong way but people like different things. :)

Not so much the vocoded vocals, but the lead ones. I don't like that cliched R&B vocal style. To me the track just has sort of a generic feel to it. Sounds too familiar... too tame. Sounds like it's one of the tracks on the album that's trying too hard to pander. I like the less obvious tracks... like the second one.
