My question: I've got big hips but they're an odd shape and I feel self conscious when I'm in a bikini!! What kind of bathing suits do you guys suggest I wear? (i can post a pic of my body if y'all need one!) Thank you! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Here's more explaining if you need it! I've got a tiny waist and huge hips, but the two don't exactly curve beautifully like you can imagine. If you can imagine without my annoying, detailed explanation, skip down to the bottom for my question!!! Thanks! First off, this is what a normal person's body looks like!!: \ / / \ there is a distinct waist, and non-parallel lines above and below waist. Here's what I look like: _| |_ | | the lines above my waist are parallel to the lines below! And there is no distinct waist. It just goes outward at 90 degrees from the parallel rib cage lines!! So basically there's no real curviture going on.
At the beach I usually wear bikini bottoms and a spaghetti strp tank top or if I am surfing or diving and it's warm I'll just put a rash guard on too. Hmm I have the opposite problem I have narrow hips and am chubby in the stomache and have a large chest and shoulders. I swim a lot and need swimsuits that are kid appropriatte so I usualy wear speedos in the pool-plus they have great bust support without cups. I have found that the higher the leg goes the more flattering it is-this is universal for every figure.
but latley I have adopted the philosophy that hey I know I don't eat to much even if I don't necesarily eat healthy and I don't get out of breath unless I intend to so I just need to be happy with the body I have. You should try to learn some self acceptance as opposed to swim suit shopping.
oh and I don't know how old you are but curves in my family come really late. I just started having hips and a waist int he past year-even when I was heavier I never had hips. My mom didn't develop curves below the waist untill she was in her twenties too.
i have weird curves to, i have a little waist and wide hips and a little bum. i still wear a bikini though cuz i love to do it.
i know what you mean, i have medium sized boobs, a narrow waist and wide hips - i HATE my curves. anyways what can you do...
Please -PLEASE wear a one-piece. "Curvy," is a code-word for - "fat girl," -- and NOBODY wants to see a fat girl in a bikini.
Lynsey, I like the fact that you stalk me around the forums, and reply to my nonsense - if you take the time to contradict me, you must really like me. If you want to go out on a date, just ask me sweetheart
maybe I am just argumenitive? (; by the way I got your comment on my cp...real men aplogize publicly baby
Lynsey, if somebody left you negative CP and signed my screen-name, it wasn't me. I have ONLY left positive CP - and I have signed EVERY CP that I've ever sent as "~halloween." Anybody who leaves anonymous negative CP if a motherfucking cowardly ****
After the names you have called me rest assured that I have no interest in whether you find my curviness attractive or not nor will I be consulting you when i go swim suit shopping this spring. But thank you so much for your concern on keeping us chubby girls covered. peace
Calling me fat is insulting to anyone over 98 lbs. I said I'm curvy, not overweight. Thanks for the tank top idea, though--that's such a smart way of camouflaging my waist!
i have med boobs and a small waist but big hips and a booty... im overly senstive about them myself, but men seem to think its great that i got something to hold on to. damn i cant sleep... sexy dreams getting me awake
