so I am taking a trip up to los angeles in a couple of weeks to get some custom t shirts made. I need help with ideas. the person I am going with is a gay dude who's shirt's he gets made there are a little too out there for my taste. I know I want one with a photo of my dogs and i definitly want one of mc escher's frogs drawing...do those sound lame? I am not into album jackets or anything like that and I have too many with pictures or slogans that I can't wear to work already so i want g rated ideas...please
I have a huge plant pot that I painted and I am wondering if there's anyway they can transplant the design on that onto a t shirt.
Ooh fun. You could use a Deep Thought from Saturday Night Live. They have them written out here: [link]http://www-personal.umd.umich.edu/~nhughes/htmldocs/deepthoughts.html[/link] The picture of your dogs doesn't sound silly at all--you could alter the picture a bit so it looks more like art then a photo; very cute!
ummm well i guess you could trace it :S i know that sounds a bit hecktic but without the right photo equipment the image wouldnt look to great. Yea just copy or trace it
If you want to use any of my art then just let me know (its a long shot i know but if your looking for escher like images everyone always says my stuff seems a bit inspired by his) http://fleassy.theice.co.uk/gallery/ just look in the "ink" section.
You could go to any head shop where they sell stickers with intersting bohemian designs/psychedelic.....that sort of thing, and copy that onto the shirt. I think the idea of using your dogs is cute.....I would do it
no I am not into that or sayings I just want something different that's not in the stores. but thats a good idea.
I like your drawings-a lot but I think your idea of drawing my own is even better. I am picky about t shirt material and length and thiness and all that it's like the only thing I'm picky about but so anyway I am bringing my own shirts and we get a non-profit discount even for personal use so even if what I draw sucks it won't be a huge deal.
Have you seen stuff by martin sharp? He did the Disraeli Gears album for cream and a lot of the artwork for Oz magazine... and that poster of bob dylan surrounded in swirls of urine.
