I rather recently found out I was born on a cusp, and it's hard to find much on the internet about being born on a cusp! Anyone know a good place where to read about cusps? I think it sucks that when you're trying to get a general compatibility thing done they won't do cusps, even though being on a cusp doesn't change your sun sign, it influences it a lot more to just compare one sign with the other. If that made any sense. ;
hmm.. i know what you mean, i'm born on a cusp also... i lean more towards taurus though, so i usually use taurus when looking at the compatibility stuff. although, there's a lot more to it than whether two sun signs complement each other well. you have to look deeper at the personality descriptions.. i like to look at in depth descriptions of the other signs to see what I am intrigued by and would like in a partner... if that makes sense.
The cusp sign placement brings together both signs. For example ... if you were born 23 September your essential charachter would incorporate both Virgo and Libra aspects. It is considered quite favorable among the ancients because it gives you the ability to be on both sides of the fence if you wish to be. It is a good position for an entertainer or a politician. You never bother anyone (unless Mars or Uranus contradicts), the problem being that you never take a stand either because you can be a chameleon. Cusp types are usually popular because of their ability to get along with so many different kinds of people, and they are able to orient outside the group. However, Astrology is much much deeper than just the Sun sign ... remember that.
Sometimes I don't know who to look at though. I fit the Piscean description a lot better and because I have Pisces Rising as well [which some Astrologers actually think is more important than the Sun sign] I'm starting to think of just adopting that when I look at Sun sign compatibility or horoscopes, or even just descriptions. Problem is I have Moon and Mercury in Aquarius, so I get so confused! >_< Aquarius is 2nd most influential sign in my chart followed closely by Pisces, but Neptune is more influential than Uranus [Saturn is first because I have a stellium of Capricorn in my 10th House]. I just wish I could get some straight-forward answers.
I think that sorta turns you into a mixture of two sun signs. Like,say, you were born on an Aquarian/pisces cusp. Aquarius (if that's your sign, for example) will domminate, HOWEVER, you will have many piscean qualities too ( sorta like your moon sign, just stronger), like you may not be an outgoing (if uranus born) person, but it'll shove you somewhere in the middle; or may make you even MORE shy (if you'r saturn born). That's what I'd guess.....btw...is Feb.17th a cusp? EDIT: oops...sorry zanman for ignoring your post... , I was in a hurry to reply! ^^;
Well the problem is that astrology is an extremely deep subject and all the aspects and other criteria have to be considered. Usually the Ascendant is the most important point in the chart, but NOT ALWAYS. Sometimes it is the MC or even a planet position ... Regarding the Cuspal types, it is fine because it gives great flexibility and ability to see other's sides ... but in itself it can be confused and full of angst, never knowing which side to turn to ... The best thing is not to worry about it and simply live life
Wow, that's exactly how I feel. Confused and don't know which side to turn to. I wish it were easier to just live life without worrying about it. Specially when you're so insecure and you don't know where to go to find any security. [sounds like a whiner] sorry. >_<

i'm on the taurus-gemini cusp (may 22). i somewhat jokingly make the claim that one twin is a gemini, the other is a taurus.
I was born on summer solstice... I guess that is the Cancer/Gemini cusp. So I'm like Twin Crabs or something.

haha, that just means we're extra crazy. i think being on the cusp of gemini helps the duality make more sense.
i am a virgo-libra cusp i always looked at the libra and i am alot of the characteristics......but......as i have looked into virgo...i see i am more a virgo actually
