Alrright.. So, I don't particularly care for the all the loose hair and frizz and whatnot, a little's fine but sometimes it gets outta control so I crochet the really long bits every month or so. I understand that you wanna put the loose hair in the 'right' dread, but are there really any consequences if you're wrong and you put it in the 'wrong' dread? Is there even a right or wrong and it's fine to throw loose hair where ever it fits comfortably?
yeah it will probably lead to dreads pulling on each other a while down the road and it can hurt quite a bit.. if you must do it, i'd suggest incorperating it into the closest dread
If you put loose hair into a dread too far away, it restricts the movement of the dread thus making it very uncomfortable. The way I do it is to hold the loose hair in one hand, then find the dreads around it with the other and hold it close to each one to see if it 'goes there'. Most of the time it will fit nicely with a dread, but sometimes there are the little buggers that don't have any where to go! Those are annoying, but if I spilt them up, the little sections have somewhere to go.. If that makes sense? Trust me, it gets very uncomfortable if loose hair get in the wrong dreads!
instead of crocheting just take the loose hair, ball it up and rub the shit out of it with your fingers till it is a little dready nub. eventually the nub will get eaten by a nearby dread and viola your loose hairs have been swallowed by a dread and they are where they want to be and you dont have to redo it every few weeks
just dread ball the loose hairs and basically root rub till they get eaten? what about pur aloe, how does that shit work.
i dont even root rub. i just ball the loose hair up, get it as knotty as i can, then let it sit for like a month and then just rip it apart into whatever dread it has formed most completely with. i have a few dreads with small tails or nubs, but i think it looks pretty cool.
like once you get the loose hairs all knotted into a ball or whatever they turn out as, i just kind of let it cook on my head for a month or so. by that time it will have sucked mainly into one specific dread, then i just rip at it so it is completely in just the one that it decided to get sucked into.
I still donno whatchu mean.. Rip at it how..? Rip at the balled up knots that got sucked in apart from other dreads, or rip the dreads that it got sucked into apart.
for the most part, over time it will pick one dread to mate with. which is why after i knot it up i let it sit for a month or so, so i can see where it wants to be on its own before i mess with it. since all the loose hair you are going to ball up and knot together probably wont be from the same spot on your head it will probably have some hairs that are either stuck to your scalp coming into the dread a strange way, or stuck into other nearby dreads. just rip it so it is only growing out of, and into the main dread it decided to have sexytimes with.
