what crafts did you like to do? did you ever sell your crafts? there are commercial books available on "hippie crafts" but they're just that, commercial. i'm just interested in knowing what you liked to create. eace:
I make "Pagan-y" crafts and sell them on etsy. I make luminaries, spell powders, poppets, candles, wax tarts, ritual loose incense, and "stuff" like that. I make other little things like dolls stuffed with herbs to make drawers smell good but I don't do it really has a pastime...more like just when I am bored. Do those count as crafts? I am too impatient to knit or crochet or anything like that. But I admire those who do have the patience and talent to make cool stuff.
If you sell those little herb filled dolls I'd love to buy one, btw. PM me if you do. Anyways, I knit half of my clothes and sew most of the rest, it's quite relaxing. I recently made a blanket and pillow for my meditation corner to make it more comfy...
I'm on a knit, sew, bead, macrame, patchwork, crochet, writing binge. Had to stop and come in here to settle down:coffee: I'm surviving on tea and 6-9 hrs sleep a day-or less! So tired I gave away some yarn I wanted to use-now I've got to make a phone call to get some of it back! Otherwise my S.O. is washing fleeces for me (if he's not asleep in the "throne room") I'm going to learn carding and spinning, then I'll be doing more knitting. It's a survival essential here, I've got to build an inventory so I can run my roadside stand --NEXT YEAR. Ever since it went up, my money hungry male roomie (not S.O.) has been ragging on me to get out there and sell stuff--well if those lazy men don't plant the garden, I got nothing to sell. So I work and work at my part and they dp squat! Sorry to rant in here. Take Care All Lois Hey oshinn-send me a PM or email lluckovich@shaw.ca about the charity knitting.
